About this app
Notepad is a small and fast notetaking app for making notes, memos, or just any plain text content. Features:
* simple interface that most of the users find easy to use
* no limits on note's length or number of notes (of course there's a limit to phone's storage)
* creating and editing text notes
* importing notes from txt files, saving notes as txt files
* sharing notes with other apps (e.g. sending a note by email)
* notes widget allowing to quickly create or edit notes, working like post it notes (stick a memo to home screen)
* backup function for saving and loading notes from a backup file (zip file)
* app password lock
* color themes (including dark theme)
* note categories
* automatic note saving
* undo/redo changes in notes
* lines in background, numbered lines in a note
* technical support
* search function that can quickly find text in notes
* unlock app with biometrics (e.g. fingerprint or face recognition)
It may be obvious, but notes in the app can be used in many ways. For example as a to do list to increase productivity. A sort of digital planner to store shopping list or to organize the day. Notes can be put on the home screen as reminders. Each task could be stored in a seperate note or one big todo note could be used.
** Important **
Please remember to make a backup copy of notes before formatting a phone or buying a new phone. Since the 1.7.0 version the app will also use phone's device copy, if it's turned on in the device's and the app's settings.
* Why do I advise to not install the app on an SD card?
I follow the official advice to block installing on an SD card apps that use widgets. This app uses widgets, which are like icons for the notes, and can be placed on a phone's home screen (for example).

I've been using this app for over 3 years. I can make & save shopping lists, Christmas lists, recipes, to-do lists, etc. I love this app!! I'm not a computer savvy person but it's easy enough for even someone like me to figure out how to share any one of my pages with family and friends. The Good Lord Willing, I plan on using this app forever!!! :) :) :)

I ❣️this app. It's so easy to use... HOWEVER, the color choices for labeling are outdated & a color wheel of sorts would be a great improvement! The other thing that REALLY bugs me is that when I have made a list or something the cursor just jumps around & types on its own. (Casper!? you in there?) LOL Pretty sure part of it is user error! 😁 An EDIT option is much needed. One can go ahead & make whatever changes they need so for that reason I give it a 3 right now. Sincerely, ArTzY

This is almost perfect. just a simple notepad, no fancy bells or whistles to speak of. there was a notepad app that I loved that seems to have disappeared that had a few features that aren't present here, but if they were it would likely be the perfect notepad for me. 1, when you open the app, open directly into the note you were most recently editing (not the full list). 2, and this is most important, swipe to go between the notes, so convenient. options to enable either would be perfect. plz

I am pleased with this Notepad app. Key features for me: 1) you can choose to keep your data only on your device, or backup to your own cloud account if you like, 2) the menus and text are easy to read without zooming, 3) the features and functions are easy to understand, 4) it has checklists!, and 5) ability to easily print notes if desired. Well done!!

This app is really great. I've been using some other notepad app which sucked (Notepad News). It's the closest thing ot a REAL notepad programme I've found (and by REAL, I mean smth line Notepad++ for PC). This doesn't affect the rating at all, but if you'd add Dropbox to the cloud options, it'd be just that much more awesome. There's a way to get it to my Dropbox, so it's not urgent or anything, it'd just be the icing on an already delicious cake.

LOVE this notepad! I have other notes apps that I use for saving long notes, checklists, and things like that. I wanted a simple app where I could literally just store some quick notes and keep my thoughts organized. I've been using it every day since I downloaded it! Being able to change the theme is great, and it still allows you to edit the fonts and background colors. Bonus you can create categories to sort your notes even further. Watch one video ad and you don't get any for 10 days!
