About this app
DOT Tickets app is developed and owned by Din Offentlige Transport (DOT). DOT is a partnership between the traffic companies DSB, Movia and Metroselskabet to help create a better and more cohesive public transport system on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
DOT Tickets app makes it easy to buy tickets and monthly passes for journeys on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
You can purchase tickets by entering your place of departure and arrival, either in the form of a stop, address, or place. You can also pick the zones you wish to travel from and to on the map. The 2-8 zones fast purchase is relevant for you, if you know how many zones you need from where you are. You can use that feature, if you give the app your permission to localization (GPS) so that the app can determine your start zone. Giving your permission to localization, which is voluntary, can also help you determine your location on the map versus your ticket’s validity area.
Monthly passes can be purchased by entering your place of departure and arrival. You can also pick the zones manually on the map if you travel between 2 and 8 zones.
You can purchase these tickets in DOT Tickets app:
• Zone tickets for 2-8 zones
• Tickets for 9+ zones between a departure and arrival zone
• Commuter cards with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on
• Commute20 with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on

The only way you can buy tickets if you have a +1 country code number is when connected to WiFi in Denmark. As soon as you lose WiFi connection, you can no longer log in to access the ticket you purchased. A completely broken and semi fraudulent app. Update 27/09/25: just attempted to log in after reading the developer's response to review. Still unable to log in using +1 number in spite of their assurance that it has been fixed. I recommend using the rejsekort app. It actualy works.

As the other reviews mentioned. This app is not tourist friendly, cannot use international credit cards to purchase tickets and passes. Hope this will be fixed in the future. The only good things I can say is this at least it's in English and you can enter your starting point and destination and it will plan your trip and give you metro options.

Like others, I ended up double-spending because of some poorly implemented communication in DOT for the payment methods. Keeps saying "transaction has failed, try again" BUT IT TAKES YOUR MONEY. And MOBILE TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - which you only find out in their ToS after failing to find any customer support for their mobile app. Well, DOT, I hope cashing in on nonrefundable error tickets pays for the losses you suffer from having your app reviewed into oblivion. Cheers!

This app is a joke. Just like the previous app that this one replaced, nothing works. Your creditcard information will randomly be deleted - and if you want to add a new card you'll be charged 1DKK everytime - even if it fails. I'm currently not even able to access my monthly ticket because the app is failing to load my card. 2025 Edit: Still awful and you can no longer do automatic renewal of monthly cards (a feature that used to be in the app, but it would fail 95% of the time anyway)

As a tourist, you need an active phone number to set this up. Many tourists don't have an active phone number when traveling. how short sighted are the designers of this app when an email option could have done the same thing. I was trying hard to give you money today and you failed.

for single tickets now there is another app that is faster and cheaper. As for monthly ticket it works, but there is one thing that bugs me: the app reminds you that your ticket is expiring about 10 days in advance (useful? maybe), but then, when it actually expires, it doesn't remind you. why? just tell me the day before or as soon as it expires. like this, it feels like it was a choice so you forget and get fined.
