Pixel Camera Services is a system component that brings Pixel Camera features like Night Sight to some 3rd party apps that you’ve granted permission to use your camera. This component is pre-installed on your device and should be kept up to date to ensure you have the latest image processing updates and other bug fixes.

Requirements - Pixel 6 or newer running Android 12 with the March security patch or newer. Some features are not available on all devices.

Unfortunately this doesn't work well with third-party apps. In fact there is massive audio latency on apps like Instagram for example. If you disable this app - it will take forever for the camera to even be accessed at all.

Pixel 7 XL pro, got an update can't focus the camera none of the lenses work except for the 0.5 and before that it was overcorrecting with some kind of AI and making things appear that weren't especially in dark photos so this is the last pixel I get I'm going to get something else. I only bought it for the camera.

Not great, I have the Pixel 7 pro and the macro does not work anymore (since updated) if I go into camera settings it says macro focus is unavailable!! why is that Pixel? it used to work just fine, great pictures!

My Google pixel pro 6 has always taken just ok pictures nothing horrible nothing great just ok. I own two of them I bought an unlocked one from Amazon and a regular one through AT&t. They both take the same just ok pictures. I am a normal picture taker I don't know anything about the advanced settings and things like that. You should expect a company to have its phone set up to take the best possible pictures out of the box so that regular folks can take great pictures instead of just ok.

I'm going to try this one more time. camera's really good does a lot of things and there's a lot of cool features in the pro section so you got to try it out but I 0 I think y'all like this one. take care

- slow to focus - macro focus poor and hard to use - flash very slow - no good indication when focus is made UPDATE lowering previous rating due to Android 16 making camera drain battery when it isn't even in use
