Without a doubt my favorite music app. I've been using it for years. With a prime account, this application learns my likes. It works well with, Google assistant and my Waze navigator. I cant think of one negitive thing to say about the paid version. I've used the free version at times when my budget was tight. It will still store and play your favorite playlist. But the ads can be annoying when yo want to listen to an album. I still give this one 5 stars.

YouTube Music seems to know me, which is why I like it. I can select a 'random' station and still enjoy the music that it suggests. Discovery has greatly improved over the years as well. For those complaining about cast support on Chromebooks, check the app again. I'm not sure if this is a new feature, but as this is PWA you can cast the 'tab' to a supported device. To do this, select the 3 dots and then cast. Of course, it would make more sense to have the standard cast icon!

never had any problems with Google. only when the "skip 5 seconds" settings are not followed and/or I am not able to change the number of ads that I see, not for some developer to hide code that does this. I also know that EVERYONE with a Google account has THEIR own data and settings... and NO ONE should get anything confused just because they don't understand. Especially when they keep pushing the family sharing accounts or switching accounts that also give them "beta" apps without knowing.

I was happy with the app, though I'd like to see an audio only option. I changed my internet service provider and now pay for the data I use. Streaming video eats it like candy : ( Audio only uses much (much) less data. I bought a subscription, though rarely use it now because of that.

I like the layout better than on the YT Music app so I'll give it an average rating. I still prefer the experience I had with Play Music. I don't see others knocking this app for what I find "missing" - Downloads. You can't download music for offline play. I'm not always by a wifi and sometime, to save battery, I turn Wifi off. No offline option means this can't be my go-to YouTube Music app.

Many data rate issues as measured by the cpu loading on this HP chromebook 14. Due to firm/software issues, this chromebook will "peg the needle" yet keep a clock speed of 0.8 ghz causing pausing even at 360p, even though this device is capable of running up to a 2.2 ghz clock rate. I have a 500 gb/sec connection - I'd call it a firmware/bios type problem. At times I can get it to kick up to higher rates, and support even 720p. I want to know what youtube is doing with all this data flow!
