used this for years now. it's good. it needs more though. it needs to have moon phases, would help for those who keep track of it, be it for gardening/farming, photography, sky gazing, etc. also would be nice to have the option to add holidays from other cultures as not everyone solely celebrates only the ones shown. it would also be nice if there were more customizable color choices for the memos. no real complaints. I like that you get notifications for your memos as well.

I switched from Samsung calendar and, for my purposes, they're functionally equivalent. However, there's one thing that bothers me about the Google calendar: it doesn't show the date on the icon face. For example the Samsung calendar shows Mon/13 for today. I used to glance at it all the time when needed. It's a little thing but it bothers me enough I'm considering switching back.

The fact that you can't add a calendar from within the app is ridiculous. I like to set up different calendars for different types of tasks (ie bills, appointments, events) and color code them to help me track easier. Having to use a browser instead of the native app is insane. Bite the bullet Google and just pay a developer for a week to implement this extremely basic, borderline necessary, feature.

Incredibly frustrating. Full screen only is annoying. I can't click on the day of the month without it opening up onto my whole screen. Give us a half screen option that shows the entries below when a day is clicked and doesn't take away the whole month view. I like to be able to count the month out, eg how many pay days before this bill is due etc but it just keeps opening up! When you try to create a calendar entry it defaults to all day and I find it so hard to figure out how to set a time.

For the last few days, every time I click on the calendar to add an event, it switches which Google Account the event is created in! I have two accounts on my devices, and the primary one is always shown in the account switcher when I open the Calendar app. but the minute I click on the calendar to add an event it switches to the other Account and starts creating the event in the wrong account. this is infuriating! In years of using this app this has never happened before now.

I think the calendar app is great if you ONLY use Google for everything. Unfortunately, my work uses Microsoft for everything, and the integration with Exchange is terrible. I'll have events show as not accepted, they rarely sync well, etc. If devs could fix that integration so that it works as reliably as it does in Apple Calendar (I have 3 calendars) then it would really fix a lot of the annoyance I face when trying to use Pixel. This is actually a primary reason I can't give up my iPhone.
