So, I understand that many people are undergoing the same issue, but I would REALLY like a fix to this ongoing problem I've had since the last update. Whenever I open my messages app, I keep getting warnings that messages aren't going to work properly unless I update this app. Oddly, when I check there is no clear update available. It's aggravating because it sometimes prevents me from texting for certain periods of time, even when I have excellent Internet. Please resolve this irritating issue.

Clearly there is an issue with this release because those using it claim the beta version "fixes" the connectivity issues. I lost connection a couple times and errantly blamed it on a "no phone zone"...not the case! Imagine your life was on the line and you couldn't call for help because of this bug? With how much importance we place on our cell phones, you'd think this would be a high priority fix. PS - Don't bother emailing the address listed on here. They stopped monitoring it.

Idk what Google did; this nonsense has been going on since mid-May. To everyone who's been having issues, here's a few things that help: Turn OFF Chat. It sucks, but that's the only way people will get your texts. An issue I've been experiencing is the Google verification stuff will not work on cellular data. I have to either connect to Wi-Fi, or go into the app settings, clear the storage/cache from CS app, & restart the phone, don't re-connect Wi-Fi. 500 letter limit. Hope this helps.

Apps on my new Pixel 6 Pro keeps crashing randomly. They just stop working. Some of them need uninstalled and reinstalled because once they crash wont start again. Hope you guys at Google are working fast on getting an update to fix all these bugs on a new update that it's available for everybody (connectivity, sound, etc., which I'm also experiencing on my phone). The whole situation is frustrating. Makes me feel I have a beautiful and powerful tool on my hands that it's good for nothing.

I just got a new phone which installed this app with it. It made it so I couldn't send any sms messages at all! I could still receive sms (about 10-15 minutes later than they actually sent it) but I could not send. After a few hours of digging I came to the conclusion that this app is what was causing me problems. I uninstalled it and my sms messages IMMEDIATELY started working again so I know for 100% that this app was at fault. I'd give 0 stars if I could! Glad to have it gone.

I see a lot of reviews critizing that people don't know what this does. The bad reviews are not about what the app is supposed to do, but what the app is doing by accident. For the past two days my texts messages have not been sending like normal. I keep getting errors and I attempt to resend. After looking into the issue the fix seems to be deleting this app. As soon as I uninstalled it my texts started sending again. It doesn't matter if "it works" if it's causing interference with texting.
