Needed this app to set up receiving contactkess payments by phone. Can't get this to work despite following instructions, get an infinite loading screen. Contacting their customer service is also inconvenient as it puts you through specific topics and none of them address this issue, and the option to reach out doesn't actually do anything, dead link. I already use PayPal for my nonprofit but since contactless doesn't work, this app provides no extra functionality.

So far, I like the PayPal Here App better. I liked how PayPal Here had both custom amount and percent amount for tip and that it was the same place that the customer signed. You didn't have to ask the customer for a tip. They just saw it when they went to sign. Also, the card reader they gave me doesn't have a swipe reader. Some credit cards or gift cards don't have a chip, and if I have to enter it manually then I get charged more.

Pretty decent little point of sale system that works great for me! The only improvement I would make to the app itself is that I wish there was a better way of sorting items I have for sale. (Ex: I sell lots of jewelry at different price points. It would be helpful to have a Folder option, where I could select Necklaces, for example, then be able to sort all of my necklace listings there.) When you have many items for sale, the tiles can get cluttered and it's hard to find what you need quickly.

I can't add new items and it's too complicated. When a customer add their info they don't want to "be in the know" and it won't go past that screen. It should be simple. Add an item, add a customer. PayPal Here was "a little" more simple but not by much. I just want to add items and customers. There's no use in having this app if I can't get the simplest features. PayPal won't be my business solutions. 😔

In a word: horrible. Despite having had to pay $80 for each reader, they barely work. Every single transaction requires the reader to reconnect with the app, a process that takes anywhere from 2-5 minutes. Other times a transaction will stop processing so the reader can reconnect again, causing the sale to have to be redone. This app and the overpriced readers are slow, cumbersome, and unreliable.

I had a PP account for 21 years, never had an issue before. PayPal Here worked great. Didn't want to switch to Zettle, but I had no choice. The first time I used Zettle point of sale, my account got blocked. Funds frozen, couldn't even issue a refund to my customer. Glad, I have Square. I'd like to get my money back for the card reader, since it is useless now.
