About this app
Design your own rocket ships. Blast off into space. Explore the solar system. See if you have what it takes to be a rocket scientist.
CREATE
Choose and connect parts together to build rocket ships. You can choose from a variety of rocket engines, fuel tanks, and other gizmos. You can even build rovers with powered wheels. You are only limited by your imagination.
EXPLORE
Blast off from any planet you want. You can fly through the intense atmosphere of Venus, or you can take advantage of the low gravity of Mercury. Whip around the sun and launch yourself out to the far reaches of the solar system.
CHALLENGES
Several challenges are built into the game so you can compete to see who can go the fastest, fly the farthest, orbit with the least amount of fuel, land on the moon, and so much more.
ROCKET SCIENCE
Kepler wrote the equations 400 years ago, and SimpleRockets uses those equations to model extremely realistic orbital physics. Players will learn about rocket science and astrodynamics while they are having a blast exploring the solar system. This makes SimpleRockets ideal for the classroom, or as a healthy alternative to the barrage of brainless games available on the App Store.

I absolutely love this game. When I've been bummed or really don't want to think about the events taking place in my life, this game can whisk me away to the outer regions of our solar system or to the surface of a distant planetesimal where all that matters is how I manipulate my environment to reach back into the void of outer space. I can't rave enough about this game, thank you, junderoo for creating a physics game/app for people like us. PS - I can't wait for SimpleRockets 2!! 😆

Awesome game you can build almost anything you like and can run on any low end device, the game allow you to develop mods for it, it's not hard but with latest version of android the game folder in Android/data no longer appear making modding no more working. It needs an update, maybe adding more planets, moons and parts maybe for rover transport. Very good game.

Simple Rockets is a great game. It makes rocketry, a very complex subject, through use of intuitive controls and helpful tutorials, simple enough for anyone to understand and enjoy. Alongside a sandbox of the whole Solar System, there are also many, many different challenges of varying difficulty so you will never be bored with the game. I heavily recommend this game to anyone who loves science, rocketry, or just fun in general.

This game feels like a dumbed-down version of Spaceflight Simulator; there are far fewer parts, less things you can do with those parts (toggling individual engines repeatedly), and features in the UI that I really liked in SFS but are missing here (switching ships in the map). I realize that this is called SimpleRockets, but that should unjustify the price. To make the price justifiable, there needs to be much more content. I do hope this review helps but this game is a bit of a disappointment.

The biggest flaw with this game is that parts will not connect in more than one place, no matter what. This essentially makes building large rockets impossible because they will be unstable. 5+ years after I bought this game this simple feature has not been included. Sad, and essentially ruins any fun I could have with this game building large payload rockets due to the instability.

How many YEARS have I waited for the simple ability to connect something in more than on place when adding a new part. It is not difficult, and often ruins the game when it can't be done. Ridiculous. Stupid. Shame on the developer, they early never made anything more than a tiny test plane or they would have realized attaching things together on a rocket is actually important.
