No single correct answer. The program is nice, it is even trying to read many at once, and is trying to recognize the color bands. You can put a 10-pack, and it will start to show values for all. I tried with a few packs. Unfortunately, among those different values, and it can be "a choice" with as many as 3 to 4 values for a pack of identical 10 resistors, I never saw a correct result, tested on black, white, grey or brown background.

Sorry man, I wanted to give this tool a real good try, but I could never get it to detect the correct value on any resistor. I tried various white balance settings, brightness, etc. Nothing worked. Most of the time, the main problem is that it never detects a brown band properly. It always reads it as black. I tried different backgrounds as well, and also tried both 5% resistors (beige body) and 1% resistors (blue body). Also tried manual specifying the number of rings. I love that you tried.

Liked the app. 8 out of 10 times it shows the correct resistance value from the colour codes. Helpful for those who are colourblind or sometimes even colours printed on some resistors have slightly different hues. I mainly liked the zoom and exposure sliders provided on the app screen. It would be nice if colour hue adjustment could be added for using under yellowish fluorescent light. Although the app is too big in bytes it's good enough.

Was going to buy the pro version. The app continuously crashes. Works great makes identifying resistors easier until it crashes then you have to go back and set everything back up again :(

I scanned a new pack of resisters with labels. It finds the color bands, but just can't seem to get it right. Back to the glasses. Response to developer: Yes I tried black background. If it had calibration I would give it another try.

This resistor scanner did a great job, it can even scan multiple resistors at once with high accuracy, wish I can post screenshots in this review. For those who haven't succeed using this app try to lessen the glare on the resistors and make sure you have a good focus, no need to take a big resistor foto, just take the best focus that you can. I never write app reviews unless they are really good or really worse. And this one is a great app.
