not working atm. 1/09/25 just installed on new phone. gets stuck on "allow app to access your location" first screen when initially launched.

This app is like the boy that cried "wolf". It alerts me multiple times a day with false alarms and alerts that aren't relevant to my area. I can turn off some of these but then I won't be alerted when there is a real emergency. Plus some alerts like fire danger ratings cannot be turned off, so I need to uninstall or mute the app entirely, which again defeats the purpose of the app. I don't need to be reminded that it's Summer since that's the case 25% of the year.

Great app for getting info. Terrible as a notification of emergencies in your area as the constant, perpetual, unending, sleep stealing warnings that I can't turn off left me ignoring everything in the end. How about an option to be notified when situations change/escalate rather than being told the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and over at all times and days? Constant noise is just noise. E: There are notification types that can't be turned off or modified Amy.

Frustrating. Incidents are popping up all the time, but the only information I can get on them so often is an icon on a map. No detail. At best it's useless and frustrating, thinking in doing something wrong -- "there's got to be more here, that's there entire point of this app". But it's also dangerous -- when we can do nothing but shrug, we're going to miss or ignore something critical.

Look, it's a good app, and it can definitely be invaluable, but I get daily warnings about events hundreds of kilometres away from me, and I can't seem to filter it out completely. More than 90% if what I get is completely inapplicable to me, which has created a cry-wolf situation, where I don't even bother to read it at all anymore, unless I already know there is something to be concerned about, but that renders the whole thing unnecessary anyway.

I have reported a bug which started today as described by other uses, saying application error. I have restarted and reinstalled on my S21 but it has not resolved. Otherwise it's normally a great app! Update: when I turn off wifi and open the app, the backlog of push messages appeared but still the same error message. I will leave wifi off to see if the new notifications come through.
