I've always used the free commercial version and been happy and tonight I intended to do the same and in an accidental swipe I subscribed to Pro and can't cancel or back out. No confirmation that's what I wanted, it just took my money immediately. But I have to watch commercials and make multiple confirmations when I'm in the free version. BS

I've used this for decades now, both on computers, and phones. up until now. it was always five stars. but when trying to use the free version, because after a failed subscription to Google Chrome, it does not allow payment to be accepted from a gift card balance anymore, I can rarely get it to clean on the free mode. I will opt into watching the ad, and ad does not load. but, the ad afterwards that shows just to show ,will load just fine. It's wonderful when it works, but that is less now.

stop asking me to upgrade to the even more expensive version that is only necessary or useful if you're using a computer, every time I open the app when I'm using a phone! I'm already paying for pro and I don't need pro plus, I shouldn't have to decline this every time I open the app. It's basically an ad. If I find another app that does the same thing and doesn't keep asking me to upgrade I'll drop my subscription to this app in a heartbeat. stop annoying customers who are already paying!

9/2025 UPDATE: This app was great for so long. I didn't mind the ads bc they have to get paid somehow. But, 11 MINUTES NOW?!?! 11 MINUTES. It's been getting bad, like 4-5 minutes of ads was rough. 11 MINUTES made me want to hurl my phone. There has to be a better app to clean up the garbage. I used to do it manually myself. But now, my phone doesn't let ME access the caches, etc. I'll be finding a different app. Peace out.

Reinstalled app after several months of it not working correctly. Now I get a permission error saying it doesn't recognize touch screens. I give up. Have used this app for year's on my laptop's. Even had the paid version on my phone. For some reason your tech department just keeps making it worse. Now I'll go find something different that hopefully works. 9/22/2025 once again the app stops working, won't delete anything, it did work fine but for some reason now It doesn't.

Ccleaner, did you just become a bigger sellout then Google? Can't do anything wothout another ad in the way. Too bad, this was a good tool. Update, just keeps getting worse, now it can't find a video to watch on the free version so it just doesn't do anything. I let it try five times in an hour, five times the next day and the next, never did 'find' a an ad to show me to continue cleaning. Annoying someone into buying your product doesn't work, they just find another product.
