• Basic note has a text field where you can write notes of any length
• Notes can have many additional elements:
- Bold title field
- Colors such as on sticky notes, 8 colors to choose from (one of them can be set as default)
- Task lists, to-do lists, shopping lists and checklists - checkboxes let you control what is to be done
- You can take a photo and attach it to your note
- Voice memos - high quality and low size M4A audio recordings
- Speech to text - use voice recognizer to dictate a note
• Reminders (one-time or recurring) notify you on time with blinking LED notification

What a great notebook app, at least for me. Exactly what I needed. Been using WeNote for a long time then syncing started not working right, losing notes, etc. Went looking for a note-taking app. I've been searching awhile (I'm picky 🤨). I like simple, but many features. Came upon this Notepad. Easy, simple UI, good layout, no overcrowded screens. Many features I use (repeating reminders for one). Perfect notes by typing or voice. And since I am a PlayPass member, premium version: Free😀!

UPDATE: BEWARE THIS APP. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP IF YOU ARE EXPECTING THE BACKUP FEATURE TO ACTUALLY WORK. At first, I liked this app. Then I had to factory reset my phone for an unrelated issue. I made sure and backed up my notes. I literally had YEARS of various notes that I had copy pasted into this app. When I went to restore the backup I got a message that says "Just open backup file you created earlier." There's no way to choose a file, just that message, that's it. I stored the file in a folder on my phone but when I try to open it my phone tells me "Unable to open file. You don't have any apps that can open this type of file. You can search for one on Google Play." I tried contacting the developer. No response. I opened the file in notepad hoping that the backup maybe stores the backed up notes as text, but nope, it's all in machine code. I'm frustrated that I paid for this app and even more frustrated that I lost literally YEARS of valuable notes because of this POS app and a non-responsive, irresponsible developer. My previous review here: Good notepad. Simple, that's good. One major improvement would be to make the note titles stay large. A lot of my notes have a lot of data and as you add more lines and text to a note, the title gets smaller and smaller on the main screen. Most of my notes I can't even read the title from the main screen it's so small. That's a major flaw when I can't find which note I'm looking for because I can't read the titles. Make the titles stay the same size regardless of how much data a note contains and the app would be perfect.

I've tried many note apps over the years & this is the best I've found. It's simple enough use easily but has a lot of options that are genuinely useful! The ability to save lists & pull them up on one page = easy navigation. Being able to choose different formats, colors for background & font, & options like highlighting let me create notes that are identifiable at a glance (& organization in the actual notes is a breeze). Being able to put it on the phone's main pulldown menu is a huge bonus.

I liked this app for its functionality until I needed to reset my phone to factory settings. I made a backup of my notes which were emailed to me, reset the phone, and redownloaded the app. But now it won't open the backup file it created. Contacted support via email and Twitter. No reply. It's been 2 weeks. Some of those notes were really important and now they're gone because the backup didn't work. So, not a bad app for notes as long as you don't need them in the future.

Was decent as a notepad app and I liked that it was less invasive than some others. However, I ultimately had to remove it bc I refused to give it permissions to access things on my phone (not needed for it's functionality) and it began interfering with other non related components on my phone. For example, if I downloaded a doc and went to open it, it would not let me and instead a permission box would open up. If I declined, doc wouldn't open. After removing this app, they open fine again.

I really like the app, using it for some time now. However, restoring the backup file is a frustrating and sad factor especially if you've got tons of notes. So if you come across the problem, Try opening the .bak_adler file with a file extractor or archiver like 7-Zip or similar on your laptop. I tried with 7-Zip and at least I can read the notes but nothing more yet! yikes! This app doesn't yet have an inbuilt extractor and import of its own files since 2018??! despite its other great features
