I can not delete my account. I've hardly used the app in any way, and it should not be so hard to delete the account. All the support documents I've seen (in English) give false information. I contacted help support, but the only response is in Chinese, and I can't find a way to translate it in the app (which I've heard is supposed to be a strong feature, and even a primary purpose for me to get the app). I also can't copy/paste to translate elsewhere.

Really bad app, lame programming, bad logic, constant hangs, constant security issues, constant hassles, locks account if you don't use it often, says it detected unusual activity on your account and asks for friend's information to unblock your account, but you can't contact your friends because you can't log in, so you have to call them or use another app. Why bother with this app if you have to have another one anyway? I switched to LINE, it works great.

WeChat is great for texting and has an incredible range of cute, free stickers. However, after less than a week, I've been locked out of my account twice for "suspicious activity" and need a friend to help me log back in through some convoluted process. Their help center says if you use Project Fi, then they recommend using a different phone number to connect... Unfortunately, this is also the only phone number I have. I like the app, but the login process really ruins the experience.

Can't activate my account because it has been "blocked due to security issues." Tried doing the 2 factor verification process, which failed, and then I tried to get a friend to verify. We followed all directions to a tee, and I still couldn't get unblocked. Oh, but I was able to set a password and give them access to my whole contacts list. You're welcome Chinese hackers. |-(

Horrible sign-up experience. I lost my password once, and ended up having to ask friends to ask other friends to pass on a verification request. When I tried to sign up my wife, I used up my "once per month" other-usee verification to verify her, and then when I went to the messages app to get the code they'd sent, the sign-up process logged out. After several days of trying she still has no account. It's just one of the worst apps to use if you're not living in China. Deeply frustrating.

Don't even bother downloading. I had this app for less than a day and it's found "Suspicious activity' on my account and blocked me from accessing the account. I can't recover my account and this was the only way I could get in contact with one of my friends. I am beyond furious, and wish they'd fix this issue, but judging from the other reviews they won't.
