Really is a great app, not many ads, subscription seems at a reasonable price, considering how much info you gain if you pay the $6. Even without the subscription, you still get a lot of information about the ships. I do have one recommendation for the developers though: Make it so you can organize 1 fleet, and split it into 2 or 3 fleets, just because I would like to be able to choose between seeing all of Disney's ships separate from all of my others.

Most of the time ships positions are only a minute or two old. Occasionally, they are older but this is probably not within the control of the app. There are some quirky aspects of the app. If connection speed is slow, the menus behave very slowly as if the map is getting updated every time a new option is selected rather than accepting all options and then updating the map only when leaving the menu. Map rendering sometimes messes up and it shows the same ship in two locations.

This could be a great app. The problem is the sheer amount of advertisements. It's beyond a joke. It almost feels that the app is primarily for adverts which just happens to have some use as a ship finder. Not everybody wants to or can afford to pay a monthly subscription such as me for example. I am retired, have no professional use for it, just an interest in ships and where they are. What's happened to a small subscription to just serve for a passing interest?

Downloaded the app based on the reviews and that it says that it's free. The "free" part gives info that is days old and the paid subscription comes in at over $1000.00 a year! Definitely not value for money. There is also a nefarious ad on the first page of the app that leads you off to join a Digital Membership page. Why hide the fact that you offer a free service? Be upfront and have your app show only in areas that have paid content.

Superb. Used on the Exmoor coast to follow visible shipping out at sea when out and about. Currently (June 2020) there appears to be a bug where the image of a ship only shows for a split second on the 'details' page though, not enough time to grab a screenshot for records. Somebody else mentions it too. If this can be fixed, the app would be even better.

great app, have upgraded my review to 5 stars. as a kayaker in a harbour town I use it to track the position of ferries/cruise ships before heading out. also fun just to see what else is coming and going. very glad to see one big improvement - it now remembers your last location, it doesn't default back to the English channel every time like it used to. one thing though - now I can't seem to find the filter option to see only ferries or cruise ships?
