99% are fake scammer profiles. this app does nothing to weed them out. In 3 months I think I've talked to maybe 2 real people. On top of that, they use captive ads, that means you can't do anything to dismiss the ads until they are finished. they use fake "X" marks thinking you're going to close the ad but it redirects you to another website. horrible app to use.

I understand the need to have ads to pay the bills, but an ad every 1-3 times you click on messages is overly intrusive and ruins the app ecperience. Other than this, Hornet is pretty good. Impressed by how it's trying to grow from just a hookup app into what could become one of the first legit gay social networks. Excited to see where that leads. Just, please, tone it down with the nonstop animated ads. There's just too many.

Really though??? What's the point of having advertised this app or having it featured for download if you can't actually use it for it's purpose? There's absolutely no way to get past the point of verifying validity as after you've put in plenty of work detailing your profile, it will prompt you to verify yourself via SMS verification code, only the code will never arrive, hence you will never be able to use this the way it's advertised. The Play store needs to flag this app bigtime.

I am one of over 20,000 loyal daters who chose Hornet to help find a decent guy to only sadly be disappointed and rate the app a 2 star or less. The app is flashy and full of ads, fake profiles, and definitely needs some work put in to clean up the fake profiles. Every day another fake profile sends me a message, with a "normal sounding" first and last name, and when you check the message, it's just some scam that redirects you to a different website.

this app is just so slow. glitches very often, and overall very confusing interface. cant change distance of profiles you see, cant figure out how to follow people, and all the posts on the main page are just random trash, many of which are in a different language. also, if you get an ad, you cant x out of it you have to just exit the app and go back.

your software is a bug ridden mess with very limited search scope for free users and prices are extortionate with the first premium tier giving nothing. location visiting on android is basically not working 1 in 3 times. loud ads without a click without a way to turn it down is unacceptable. i'd like to give one star if there were no fond memories of this app, cause even two is just so much for this app. the sort of monopoly you feel you are is bound to fall because of the better competition too
