The news coverage is good. But the app is still primitive. The notification clutters the screen. Introduce stack notifications where all the notifications from your app will be stacked together. And in epaper mode, if I click on a news item, have it open up in normal mode. It is not available in your app. please make use of the epaper models of The Hindu. Theirs is very good.

I had renewed my subscription but but the app doesn't honor that and blocks premium stories. I send a email to their support email address but there is no response. I then get a call from their marketing to renew my subscription but when I explain the problem the marketing person just hangs up. Bad experience overall.

The guys at Indian Express need to understand that the epaper version would never be complete until and unless the reader can touch/ click on a report / article published in the epaper and it then opens in TEXT format. All respectable ( and not so respectable) dailies have this convenient feature. i wonder what prevents IE from follow suit. One reason could be that the guys in charge dont give a da*n to readers' convenience.

journalism and reporting are undoubtedly top-notch, but ever since the app gone through the drastic change its search option in the app has become quite pathetic, because now it fails to yield result, for example earlier even by writing dalit in the search bar one would get all the stuff, even the ones updated just moments ago, on the app but now it doesn't cover all things related to it, instead it sometimes use google search and yield old reports and other things. kindly look into it.

I had been accessing the e-paper on my laptop. However, since 1 Sep.'25, despite having an active account, I am unable to read the e-paper. On clicking on the icon, I get a message "400 Bad Request. Request Header or Cookie too large". No reply received from Indian Express on how to resolve this issue, till date.
