No more troop upkeep, no more fortress level requirement to upgrade other buildings. Battle mechanics changed from turn based to troop type. The general realm it is super quick to get to 1million power, Playing on hardcore mode it take double the effort to get to 1 million power. This game is still super nostalgic for me, today's game is fun in a different way.

The horrible drop rates and paying for everything g to get anywhere have gotten out of control. I've been playing this game since it landed in 2014, and its no longer fun. Just log in, do dailies, and go play something else. Events suck, drop rates suck ( I pulled over 100 sets of exclusive tokens and got nothing higher than a three star general) take this back to the way it was under kabam or make your own game. The only reason I keep this one is I can't find another like it

Listen to the bad reviews. It could be a great game as many say. Gaea support is not helpful, it is your fault of ours. There is bullying and many inappropriate sayings in the global chat, hard for adults let alone children. There are those that use outside stuff to get ahead so only a few really get to play. Basically new players are just farms for older players or those that spend alot of money. I really love how the game is done over other similar games. I would definitely NOT recommend

This game involves a very "pay to win" style business model. If you don't mind always being inferior to others--unless you pay--then this game is decent for its genre. Of course, this game has the potential for infinite troop counts similar to its now closed browser-based counterpart--something rather unique in the genre. This leads to large gaps in power between those who can afford paying and those that just started. It was worse on PC, but the underlying problem can still be seen here, too.

I love this game and have so much fun playing it but on the 25th of December, gaea had a box up for sale which contained extra items which has happened in other chests. A lot of players bought it then gaea decided to go back in and take all those items away but they didn't want to give back the money or gems people spent. I love and will keep playing but I won't spend and advise others not to because gaea is not trustworthy.

It's 100% pay to win, I think that alone says enough about the game. Played this back on PC and it still has the same problems that one had, all the good troops and such are locked behind paywalls so anyone looking to just play the game will be farmed by the whales for resources. There's a 12 hour shield that's about $2.50 in price and that's the only thing that can stop a 4,000,000+ power player from attacking your 200,000 power city. At that point, it's no longer a war game. At least the PC version had more dragons and you could do research to protect your gold but as the response to one of the other reviews says "gold is easy to get" and it's not hard this is true but it just sucks to have that guy 15x your power come at you for days cause there's nothing you can do to stop him.
