About this app

HairKeeper will help you to check the ingredients of hair cosmetics in a few seconds. Now is no need to guess what your shampoo contains - harsh or soft detergents, silicone or drying alcohol - just open the app.

What advantages does this app have?
- Using the camera on your phone scans the list of ingredients (not a barcode) of a shampoo, balsam or mask and covers in it the type of detergent (harsh, mild, gentle or very gentle), presence of silicones, drying alcohol, potential allergens, as well as emollients, proteins and humectants. What exactly it means you can read by clicking "Info" in the app;
- The application does not require an Internet connection, which is very helpful, for example, in shopping abroad, when there is no connection or you do not want to spend precious megabytes of roaming;
- Available in four languages: Russian, Polish, Spanish and English.

Scan functionality is limited in free version with 7 scans, then one time purchase is required to unlock unlimited scans.

It has good potential. But I only had 7 free scans, then it asked me to pay. I dont feel it was enough to show me if I want to pay. It also obviously looks like it's still being developed. For example there was only "shampoo" and "balsam or mask" in the categories. I was expecting to see more variety so I could categorize my products into their types. All in all, I will be waiting to use this app, as it has no use for me after using up my 7 free scans, and still is lacking in features.

I quite like this app - was hesitant to pay for the unlimited scans but let's be honest, I spend more on snacks/coffee weekly, so decided to instead support the creators' work for once. The app's great in explaining the ingredients when I'm in the store overwhelmed by the choice of products and forgot to do my research (which basically means every time I shop for hair stuff lol). I'm not a CG (sadly), but still find the app very helpful in showing the PEH of each product.

I have this app purchased and when I needed to do a factory reset for my phone it was not able to do a simple back-up to be able to restore on my clean install. I could not find a proper install folder to take at list the data inserted, nothing! You have very limited options with this app, if you need to reinstall your system or change phone. It's a wasting of time. Please, implement a back up method asap!!!

Uwielbiam. Bardzo pomocna apka przy włosowych zakupach. Używam jej zawsze, gdy nie mam pewności co do składów kosmetyków. Niezwykle warta tej jednorazowej ceny! I LOVE THE APP. Guys, after 7 free scans you have to pay, but the price is so small I'm shocked. It's a big data base, you don't have any adverts in it, you can use it without internet. You give 1 star because you have to pay? It's laughable. The price is even too small. Your loss ;)

This is so helpful especially for curly haired people! And the paid version is definitely worth it. You get 7 free scans then you have to pay a quid to use the full app, the app has saved me from accidental buying expensive products that would have damaged my hair so it's actually saved me lots of money in just one day.

I really like that it has an option to save wash day routines and write down the results. But it is missing many common ingredients from its database - for example, keratin, dimethylamine and the other -lamines, lysine, biotin, and various forms of salt. This makes it inaccurate for predicting whether the product has protein in it.
