Update as of 8/29/2025. After the last app update, there are way too many ads, maps don't show fronts, and they want me to upgrade to premium to see the map in motion, a feature that is free on any other weather app. I'll be using Weather Underground from now on, they have more detailed weather maps showing fronts and their basic features are free and less adds.

Since the update the radar isn't working or if it does it's so slow it hardly moves. I've changed the animation speed to fastest but it just won't go. It was fine before the update. Android, Pixel 9 Update: Thanks for the response but I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, it's not any better. It's at a snails pace so I downloaded another app.

Used to be my favorite, but changes ... It's a little faster with the latest update, but the fact that I have to buy premium or watch videos to see *any* radar movement is very frustrating. Seeing historical radar movement was generally sufficient for me - which is why I've stuck to the free version - but now I might have to find another app just for radar.

Used to be better when it was powered by Dark Skies' data. Now it's powered by Apple Weather Kit and it's less than satisfactory. Not to mention everything is a premium option now. Forecast is a premium option? The ball has been dropped on this one hard. (Update) I wish I could post screenshots so you can see how ridiculous this data is, says no precipitation for the next hour yet the line graph is so off the charts I'd need to build an arc. Mind you it's sunny and 85 not a cloud in sight. 2☆》1☆

I really like the interface of this app and love that you're using dark sky because of its reliability. This is the best app using dark sky. Two things that really bother me about the app are when I get notifications about severe weather, I can't read the full NOAA weather statement. I purchased the premium version for notification, but they're useless because they don't tell me anything. Second, even though dark sky is ending in 2022, you're still offering a 3-year subscription?!

Yeah, devs have pushed it too far with intrusive full-screen ads. The quickest option is to force-quit the app once the ad pops up and reload it, and that's just to access the basic functions of the app. That's intolerable. If you aren't making enough with the free version, just get rid of it. If the app was good enough for people to want to pay for it, then you wouldn't need to make your free user experience miserable.
