It works well and was the only one of its kind I could find (that works) that doesn't require GPS and allows me to enter (and save) multiple different locations. I need to monitor places 1400–2200 miles from where I live. It has a setting for alerts for any/all locations. However, in 2–3 yrs of using it I don't think I've ever actually gotten a notification. I monitor weather for these locations via another app and open this when I need it. Wish list: more locations in database, notifications.

Too many false alerts. It's clear and sunny for miles, and I just got an alert for 30km away! When there is actual activity it seems to work well. The location search is absolutely terrible - I live in a small town that shares the name with over a dozen other locations...I've been clicking on "Portland" repeatedly and still not found my location yet! The "find my location" function lists my town as "Chestnut Grove "? 3 stars for a cool radar overlay.

Id give it a 5 BUT, for a couple of reasons. 1, it continually keeps telling me a lightning strike is x km away. Why not miles?? Dont see any option to convert or change it. And 2, when doing a search i put in my zip code and it does nothing. I even tried the name of my town and nothing populated up. Although i did see it worked because i allowed the app to search by gps. I like the app. But cmon update to miles, SOON!

This is a great app for anyone needing to check proximity of lighting. Be it out on the water fishing or jobsites that have a lighting stand down radius. The only upgrade or add on I would like is a 50 miles radius added outside the 31. A few major companies have gone recently from a 30 to a 50 mile stand radius. And motion radar, being able to see the strom track movement.

I loved the previous version of this app and used it frequently, but the new look is just not as nice. The map is grainy and the lightning bolts are barely visible. I liked that you could see the bolts in a bigger area when you pan out but these are just not as sharp as before and seem slower to load. I also find the big bar at the bottom to interfere with viewing the map, this is made worse when you activate the weather overlay as it adds a big bar over the top.

I had the old version which was far better than this. The new version only shows less than 50% of the screen because of layers on top of the screen. Clean it up and give the client the option of what they want to have on their screen. Have a full screen option! Get the colours back in the clouds to show the rain intensity! Is there any way to stick to the old version?????????
