I love the Daily Art app. The scans of the art are really high quality, and the information about each painting/artist is the perfect amount - enough to satisfy, but not enough to overwhelm. They're even considerate about what ads they allow - I've yet to encounter anything loud or that takes me out of the mindset of enjoying art. I will definitely be supporting monetarily once it is in my budget. Thank you, DailyArt, for doing what you do!

Excellent for what it is. If you want a ready made place to go with pleasing visual design to be informed on one work of art a day (you can review past days as well) along with supplemental articles, this is it! Could you get the same with Wikipedia? Probably, but it wouldn't be as curated and visually appealing. It doesn't really have quizzes or other pedagogical tools (at least not the free version) but if you are good at self-guided learning it's good.

I started using this app's widget as a funny little conversation starter, but have kept it around for years because it genuinely brings me so much more joy than I expected it to. It's a wonderful, informative little app. My only request would be to add a resizable widget on Android that doesn't zoom in on the artwork. There used to be one, but now it fills the widget space and often cuts off some of the art instead of scaling it down to fit. Aside from that, I love the app and daily articles!

I love this app and so does my 7 year old. The art is varied and each piece comes with an interesting and engaging description. Sometimes the personalities of the writers shine through when discussing the art which is fun. It's worth spending the $6 or so (or $2 when on sale) for the pro version so you can collect more favorites, and look at other works from your fave artists in the archives (and apparently avoid lots of ads - I haven't seen ads on this in years).

I like the app it gives me the opportunity to discover new masterpieces and artist. The blurbs are simple and informative. My biggest complaint and the reason it is not 5 stars (really it is a 3.5) is because finding art on your own outside of the daily notification is bad. I often get a daily work, like the artist go to their page only to find zero masterpieces on their page, not even the one that brought me there. Extrapolate over artists, themes, movements, schools etc. It's very frustrating.

What a pleasant surprise this app has been! I finally bought the app after having it for a couple of months because it is well curated and doesn't espouse leftist idealogy that i have come to expect from creative outlets. It's what i hoped it would be- succinct descriptions for artwork of the day. The writing is often lighthearted, and there's always a little bonus link at the end if you want to delve a bit deeper. The premium version is even more robust.
