About this app
Mausam is an app that gives weather conditions report for your area and brings different types of weather information via many weather maps of India.
"A picture is worth a thousand words". A complex weather data can be conveyed easily with an image map. By observing the Cloud formations around your City, you can easily predict whether the day is going to be Hot or Rainy/Cloudy.
It is very well equipped with data caching capabilities and will never download duplicate data from the server. The downloaded weather maps will stored locally and can accessed offline.
This application fetches the weather maps directly from Official Indian Government webpage for "satellite Images & Products". URL: http://www.imd.gov.in/
The map data will get refreshed on the server for every 30 mins.

Need a lot of improvements. I am not able to search my location. Its not only about my location, I am not even able to write 2 words in location search engine! Even GPS is also not working. Hope u solve it early so that I can rate this app 5 🌟 and recommend it to others. Thank You..

This app could be made better.it always prompts to on the location and then when you do on it ,then it gives weather report of an unknown place and not exactly the location place and then after clicking on the location symbol on left hand side top corner and after typing first letter it again scrolls down to the same original page. So overall needs improvement. Pressure,wind speed ,rain clouds indications in maps,interactive maps like nasa radar,humidity should also be included in app.

Just now downloaded the app and it's just not searching my village. The loacation option is not working at all.. I am clicking the location option to fill my location and just when I type a single letter it comes back to the home screen.. Needs a lottttttt of improvements I guess.kindly sort out this problem. As I am more than happy to see india developing apps one of a kind for us.. I surely wanna use all these apps but kindly test several times before you brought it into the market.

Like other weather applications this app does not show weather for your location. As "weather" app by Google or AccuWeather's app show weather for my location(with accuracy radius of few kilometres). This app shows weather for district or town not for villages. If I live in say village A which comes under a certain district B; the weather shown by this app for the my place is of the district (city).

Launching own Indian Weather Application is certainly a step in the right direction. But since the launch it has been approximately a month and there are no additions and there is not even any work done to streamline the application use. The app is full of bugs and needs improvement in interface as well but I don't think the developers and/or the government are dedicated enough.

Very nice initiative by GOI but app has lot of bugs in it. I can't select location as when I try to type the name of my city, it minimizes automatically! Though app development takes a lot of time but keeping in mind the brilliant Indian IT industry GOI should hire PRO's for their app development. Such petty bugs not only tarnish the image of the govt but also brings in bad name!
