Save yourself the NIGHTMARE!!! I've never had to go through re- set ups for a long time until I thought this is a convenience app. One mistake of turning off access lost all them involved and no way to reconnect provided. I wish I'd never touched this app. Now all those locations I have to go to and access just to set up connections again. I've been a Netgear guy and hence all my clients I've set up before. But my next gear won't be. Very unprofessional, disruptive, and costly for customers.

The app has gotten worse over the last year or so. Recently I tried to remotely access my R7000 router to reboot it, but it looks like it's no longer an option. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now it keeps saying something went wrong with logging in. Now I can't use the app at all. I reset my password, just in case. Newp...not the issue. Firmware is up to date. If remote access is a necessity, I suggest looking at other manufacturers. Logging in remotely via web browser is gone too...

The jury is still partly out on the Nighthawk app. But my initial review isn't good. I just finished setting up a mesh system, and the app has been buggy and fiddly as hell. Several times it told me the router wasn't compatible with the app. If you take more than 60 seconds on a task, a contact support pop-up appears. God forbid you have any other apps open or attempt to switch between them. At the moment, I hope I don't have to use this app often.

this piece of trash barely works. i have to reset it every time i want to use it. it takes minimum of 10 min to reset each time. everytime it does something new happens. they have updates to often and the unit will not restart itself. the app will lie and give false upload/download speed when nothing else has wifi. i will be returning this immediately.

Was just fine until a couple of months ago; now i just keep getting "try again later" when i try disallowing access by a device. Formerly worked properly. The router is nighthawk cax30. Have coldbooted the router, un/reinstalled the app, all devices are talking normally, just cant turn access on/off anymore. Now I can admin the router only via the browser version (lot clumsier than the app). This is getting old fast. Fix the app!!! It's getting a lot of well deserved negative reviews.

This app worked fine for a while. It wasn't extremely helpful, and it's easier for me to manage my network from my computer than from this app. But it was okay. Recently the app stopped working entirely. All I get is a white screen. Useless. UPDATE I figured out why I'm getting nothing but white screens. An update added web trackers to the login screen. My network blocks web trackers, so no login screen. Why is this app using web trackers, anyway? Seems sketchy to me. And bad.
