About this app

Welcome to the world of Ingress Prime, Agent. The fate of this universe, and perhaps others, depends on you. The discovery of Exotic Matter (XM), a resource of unknown origin, has sparked a covert struggle between two Factions. Cutting-edge XM technologies have completely transformed the Ingress Scanner, and it is now waiting for you to join this battle.

THE WORLD IS YOUR GAME
Explore the world around you and interact with places of cultural significance—such as public art installations, landmarks, and monuments—to collect valuable resources using your Ingress Scanner.

CHOOSE A SIDE
Fight for the Faction you believe in. Harness the power of XM to evolve mankind and discover our true destiny with The Enlightened, or protect humanity from a hostile takeover of the mind with The Resistance.

BATTLE FOR CONTROL
Dominate territories by linking Portals and creating Control Fields to achieve victory for your Faction.

WORK TOGETHER
Strategize and communicate with fellow Agents in your neighborhood and around the world.

Agents must be over 13 years old (for residents outside of the European Economic Area); or over 16 years old or such age needed to consent to the processing of personal data in the Agent's country of residence (for residents of the European Economic Area). Unfortunately, no children may play Ingress.

I enjoyed playing Ingress but it can be difficult acquiring the in-game objects to effectively capture the opposing teams capture points. It can become tedious doing the same loops over and over again and maintaining your portals in the game is incredibly tedious. I figure it's probably a lot easier for the people who are paid subscribers but it's doable with a free account as well. Just play it and have fun with it and uninstall when you're done.

Doctor's orders, "Get more exercise!" I know that I will never go to a gym. So what's an old fat gamer to do . . . GPS games! Glad to see that there are more of them out there today. However most are not my genre. Scanning the list I'm happy to see an old favorite with an upgrade. Ingres is now Ingress Prime! Love the premise, and the game play. But more than that, love the community; no matter the faction. So pick s side and get out there and explore your surroundings.

I have been a long-standing player of this game. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied when "they" changed the UI from the old redacted version. Originally, this new software was slow and unreactive. However, I recently decided to give Ingress another go, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The lag issues have been resolved, and there seems to be more meaning to the game again. I hope more players choose to join and rejoin.

I like this game. Been playing since day one, which seems like forever! Glad to see Niantic hasn't given up on it and support and updates for the game remains strong. Gotta say this game also got me out and about and really exploring PDX on foot when I first moved there which is really cool! Can't wait until the augmented reality features get implemented! Been waiting for that since day one. Only then will it be just like the trailer promised us 😆!

This was a 5-star game that Niantic ruined. It's a great game for individual or group play. It's an awesome way to meet new friends. It's really fun to collect mission badges by exploring interesting places around you. Unfortunately, Prime was apparently designed by folks that never play the game. They added unneeded fancy graphics instead of concentrating on game play itself. The game is no longer "fun" to play. It is "tolerated" at best. Every aspect is slow and freezes up constantly.

The new scanner is slow and it is difficult. It is difficult to determine who placed resonators and mods. It is hard to see fields and throw links. I see potential for inventory management, though it's difficult to determine what the items are and their level. It is less clear which items are common, rare, etc. The dropped items look cheesier than before. It is really going to take getting used to.
