I have been searching for years for a weather app that gave me as good a UI experience as dark sky. I thought I had it with AccuWeather, but this one is exactly what I was missing. The levels of detail, the vertical scroll format, the easy visualizations, and the customization are all amazing. The only gripe I have is with the radar. while there is an amazing depth of detail in the various radar options, it really lacks in an ease of use future forecast radar (with the green - red intensity.

Back to 5 stars! Dropped 2 stars No longer getting notifications for severe alerts or lightning. I cleared all data and uninstalled and reinstalled. Again still a great weather app. Would be awesome if it could integrate with Android Auto. I think that would cement it as the best. Found my Dark Sky replacement. This thing rocks and the developer is responsive and will add features that you suggest! SPC Outlooks are a great addition to the maps and the forecast is typically very accurate.

Radar rarely works correctly. Time laps lags like crazy. I constantly have to use another free app to look at the radar. We'll, no use paying a fee if I'm always on the free app! I love the layout because I was a old darksky android user and it much like that, but I'm tired of paying for something that doesn't work. Been like the for over a year now.

Finally!! I'd been looking for a decent weather app after Weather Underground went to pot and Dark Sky went turncoat. :P AccuWeather used over 300 MB of data in 2 weeks, which was just absurd to me. Then they changed their interface. Then I read that a while back they had sold user's location data, and I had enough. I appreciate the simple but clear interface. Reminds me of dark sky. Best of all the popular weather apps I tried by far.

I installed this app as a replacement for the Dark Sky weather app. I am using the free version. I have found that shadow weather is easy to use and works consistently. I don't use any advanced features; I just look up the weather in my area for the week. It's usually fairly accurate. I don't expect any weather forecast to be completely accurate. One feature I would like to see would be a forecast for hikers at the top of tall mountains. The weather usually much different up there.

It has definitely fallen off. For at least two weeks now, i've just had a zero as the temperature at my notification bar says null. There's no update or any way to fix it clearing the cache does not work. I only use weather apps that will put the temperature in the top bar of my phone, So if this can't do that anymore i'm going to have to get something else.
