It sucks to say, because the game IS fun, but under current management, it's only fun enough to get you interested, then comes the non-stop predatory monetization. Free to play players need not apply, if you're not whaling, you're not playing. It's actually worse than when Nuverse owned/published them, and that's insane to me. It's in a bad state right now, and I wouldn't bother with it.

I've been playing since launch. This game never stopped being fun! Many people say you need to pay in order to have the current meta, but from personal experience, metas don't give you that much if a huge advantage. You can get a ton of cards for free just by playing the games, just one card is locked behind a battle pass each season. That card becomes available after a while. As long as you have one or a few good decks (meta or not), you will have a fun time.

When this game released, it was fun, easy to play, and was not fully pay to win. The cards were unique, and the abilities were fun to put together in a deck to see what worked and what didn't. Now, there are micro transaction pop-ups in all menus, and card changes have made the game way less fun and exciting. They are slowly taking away more rewards for weekly challenges and pushing more and more for grinding to get new cards and purchasing premium currency. I won't recommend it anymore.

Constant stream of new cards that take too long to get without spending a fair amount of money on the game. Game had potential, and I was hoping they would have changed things by now since my break. Little to no meaningful updates made to the game since I left 2 years ago, so I won't be holding my breath for impactful changes to come to this game any time soon. Snap packs are a small improvement, but not by much. Good luck I guess? Maybe y'all can prevent this ship from sinking. I doubt it.

Had to drastically lower my review, sadly. The game tries to nickle and dime you at every turn and I'd mostly be OK with that if money could only be used for cosmetic purposes and not gameplay (new cards) - but it can. I can't imagine being a new, Free-To-Play player in this game. So, new players, be warned. Vets - be prepared to play A LOT in order to maximize resources or be prepared to open the wallet. Unfortunate, because the core gameplay of the game is fantastic.

The new developer really has taken the fun out of the game. You can tell it's a money grab now. I've been playing since the beta and in the last few months, not are they selling you on new features. You get the pop-up several times to join premium for the season. The Tues and Sat bundles used to be 200 gold. Now they are 700. I really don't play much anymore.
