The timer itself seems to work okay but my experience with the app has been negative. The device loses bluetooth connection with my phone once I go inside. This is probably why the company designed an addtional piece of equipment, called the Hub, to boost connection. you can purchase this for $30. It's the typical business model of today. Design a product with limited capabilities then up-charge for add ons. Man, consumers are stupid. Uninstalled app.

I've had nothing but problems with this device for the last few months. I have two xr 8 zone timers, which both lost connection to the network recently. after trying over and over again I finally got them reconnected which only failed 2 weeks later. I can connect to Bluetooth every time. I have to do a power Cycle to get him to wake back up. what's interesting is one of them is flashing an error code saying it can't connect to the network yet the app says it's connected to the network.

Works quite well. The app is intuitive. There have been no ads, unlike other smart-home apps. The controller has been rock-solid for over a year. When adjusting sprinklers, I used to walk back and forth to the controller to turn valves on and off. That is no more - I can use my phone to activate individual valves. Setting and editing schedules is simple. The controller has a dial and display where changes can also be made, although generally I just use my phone. Excellent product.

The B-Hyve WiFi hose timer is a fantastic addition to any outdoor setup. Setup was quick, the app is user-friendly, and the remote control features make watering effortless. I love being able to adjust schedules on the fly and track water usage with precision. It’s reliable, well-built, and smart enough to handle changing weather. If you're looking for a hassle-free way to automate your watering, this one's a winner. Five stars all the way.

Software issues if changing schedules. It says it's connected and when the next session will start.... but it doesn't. It does nothing. There should be a more absolute procedure built into the system so that it walks the operator through completing the changes in all aspects. I do like how each program can have 4 time slots to run the designated times. Really helps running shorter sessions more often for new seeding/germination period.

The new unit works great. Easy to setup and maintain. Love how it delays watering due to the weather. I don't like to see people watering their yards when it rains, just a waste. One thing that I don't like and wish I could control is when Smart Watering is scheduled the same day/time of my programs. I have a well and can't afford to water 2 zones at the same time. Some kind of smarts needs to be added to prevent this from happening.
