Fun game, especially considering the quality of most mobile games these days. Never played DnD before but I enjoy the experience still. I do wish there was an auto battle mode because grinding coins to buy items feels tedious to me. And reviving with ads doesn't work, I couldn't even click the button even though it said 5/5. And traveling costing money (especially early game) doesn't help since you have to travel basically.

edit: so far, I really like this game. I dont give mobile games 4 stars very often, but when I do it's because the game isn't loaded with ads slapping you in the face, the game play isn't terrible at all, and it's got me interested in playing for more than a day. now with that being said, why is it so expensive?? if I want to unlock everything I'd have to spend well over the price of a game on console. also if I was to grind... it would take way too long. its dropping down to 2 stars.

Fun, but ultimately after your wallet. Gold is required for every action, even travel. The game economy becomes aggressively expensive and even watching ads doesn't help as it's a limited amount per day. The combat difficulty spikes at seemingly random intervals, completely halting progress. You can keep going, for a fee, of course. It's a mobile game amongst a sea of mobile games.

Starts out as a lovely game with a bit of a learning curve in terms of UI (there is a guide, but it is tucked away). The writing is cute and familiar for table-top RPG players. Unfortunately, death is punishing, and progress is slow - you grind weak enemies because "on-level" enemies can kill most characters in one lucky shot, and a single death would cost you all of that progression in revival fees. It gets better once you have unlocked and equipped your full party.

This is amazing, with great story, solid gameplay, and vivid animation. But is also a horrible game that it demands the player to spend so much real money to actually progress throughout the game, unless you decide to grind for hours on a pretty basic dungeon that feels like it was designed to enter at most 7 times throughout your gameplay, but you instead you are forced back to the dungeon to repeat each and every single battle over and over just to be able to continue with the story.

Very fun game but each time I've downloaded it there's always a point where you run out of gold from the cost of travel and resurrecting party members. If you go on a losing streak you either have to buy more gold or start the game over completely to escape the death loop. Would love to keep playing but I can't afford to spend $10 every time a character dies.
