This could be a great app, but unfortunately it falls short on being able to do "basic" things. The most annoying of which is the fact that it constantly shows an hourly forecast, even though I change it to 10 day. It's ridiculous. I should not have to keep changing this. I wanted to purchase the full version, but experience dictates that when the free version is this screwed up, the paid will be even more disappointing. And Google is also NO HELP when it comes to requesting a refund.

I always liked this app until the recent update. I now can no longer use the app because it says my phone is rooted. People choose to root their phones for specific reasons. I can still use all my banking apps after I configured my phone to pass the SafetyNet. TWN doesn't collect any personal financial data (please tell me you don't), so what's the big friggin' deal to not allowing rooted phones? It's just to check the weather and I can do the same on your website for crying out loud.

The Advertising Network seems to be a great app. The ads are well put together, and all over the screen which makes them very easy to read. Some of them autoplay and you can't even shut them off,...how convenient! Occasionally you will see an annoying weather forecast in between the advertising. They are small and hard to see, which is good. That doesn't happen very often though. Thankfully, it stays mostly on advertising.

It seems that the app does not always show the same forecast as the webpage so I'm forced to open up the webpage if I'm concerned that it may rain. I asked my girlfriend about this and she agreed that this has been her experience as well. *Docked a star. When watching a video full screen and then an ad comes on it seems I'm forced to let the ad compete or I have to close the entire app and reopen it, I cannot leave full screen mode while an ad is playing.

I've been a loyal daily user for years, but I'm a day or so away from deleting the app; popup ads have become annoying enough that I'm pretty much done here. Thanks for all you've done, TWN. I'll miss that you used to be more reliable than the other weather apps, I'll miss the quirky little sidebar videos and "here's why..." articles, but if I have to click every X on a Temu ad (or any other) again just to get rid of it, I'm getting rid of *you* forever. Other options exist, after all...

Videos auto-play and you can't turn that off. You can't listen to music while using the app because it's constantly interrupted by unwanted videos. There is no honest reason for not allowing people to turn off auto-play. This is so annoying that I now just look at the site on my web browser with an ad blocker and block the vids. I just keep the app for the widget but I wonder if it's even worth it.
