Not a good app ever since the update to version 440. I have to download the app "Conduit" just to connect which is really annoying i also started to get ads each time I open the app and press the start button. Please maybe try putting fewer ads? or just short ones. And another issue is that there isn't an option you cancel the Google page opening. Overall free but you need to download another app just to use. [Edit* October 15th 2025]

It works generally well, but it gets pretty buggy at times. I tried a lot of vpns and this was the only one that connected at all. However, if I had no service and connected it through wifi, then it would act up anytime I did get service, and then when I lost service avain, it would act up again. It was very tricky and takes a long time to connect at times, if it would connect at all.

As of December 5th, 2022, the app is no longer free (in my region). Despite the 100+ million users, I can't say that it is the best (free) VPN app. The ads are intrusive due to the unusual placement of the ✖️ or "close" button which may lead to your account being compromised. Also, there seems to be a VPN leakage in its locations. Overall, it generally does its job. However, security may be a concern upon usage.

"Pay us money or install our malware" is not an effective marketing strategy. This used to be one of the safest and most reliable service for getting around internet censorship for people living in countries with restrictions on websites, now it forces you to either pay for the subscription, or download Conduit, which is an extremely inadvisable option. I'm not going to force myself to use an unsafe peer to peer connection just to use this. You used to be the best.

works amazing. though I am concerned that when it starts working and opens my browser, the loaded page is psiphon.news that tells me to update it or it'll stop working, even though I have the latest version of the app. this is weird.

i edited my review just to say what was going through your minds when adding a completely useless loading screen; for stalling people and wasting time? what's next? Apparently what was next is that they added a 10 second delay before actually starting to connect. Absolutely despicable. Making me want to switch over to proton vpn more and more with every update.
