App is great - fees leave you wishing you didn't use it. It was labor day and I needed a car, but car rental companies had no inventory, so I gave turo a try. It was easy to sort cars by type and price. I chose a renter that had a storefront business, and they were great! My mistake was checking out without looking closely at the end price, because the end price was 40% more because of the fees! If you use turo and see companies using their platform, check if they have a website. Book direct!

It sent me an ad as a notification on my phone. I go into the app's settings to disable ads/promotions, only to find that you can either disable in-app text notifications (important), or enable ads by email (not important). Fine, I'll just disable ads using Android's baked-in per-app notification settings. Nop! Only thing I can turn off are "general notifications", which would probably impact text alerts within the app. In short, Turo sends me ads via notifications that I can't turn off.

I had a reservation with Enterprise for a weekend car, but when I arrived for pickup they had nothing in their system to match my confirmation number and no other cars to give me. My trip was almost ruined because of their error. After a quick Google search I found Turo, was able to create a profile, reserve a car and get things back on track in just a few minutes! And the car I got through Turo was less expensive than I planned to pay through Enterprise! I'm a new loyal customer from now on.

great idea and I have only used it a few times. my only issues have been that I had scheduled a car and all of a sudden it got canceled. so I had to go through my options again which was frustrating because those that I looked at in my price range and where I was located were no longer available either. so I had to start all over.

Technical issues, the app. Simply trying to make an account didn't even work. And their AI-driven help center kept refusing to let me contact a real person without an account, not understanding that that's the part that wasn't working. Even after I got ahold of a real person and got them to make an account for me, the process of actually getting the rental going was full of glitches, error screens, and being unable to access vital information for my trip. It's an extremely shoddy app.

I received clear instructions on pick up when I flew in. they were on time, highly communicative, courteous, friendly and professional. I was nervous about using this service but there was no reason to be nervous. The service was effortless and easy. The only thing of note is you must Plan ahead on departure, get there early enough to gas up the car, make sure you clean it and return it in the same way you took it out. Once you return the car, you get a ride back to airport. They are GREAT!
