Revolut used to be good and my go-to bank card when traveling. However, I recently decided to give their Premium subscription a try since they offered a free trial -- nowhere did they say that they would charge 20€ to cancel after the free trial!! The only way to avoid this fee would have been to continue the subscription for 10 months, which is just unreasonable!

In our experience, the referral campaign was a scam. The referral program is running basically non-stop, but restarts periodically and if your referral misses the deadline of making 3 purchases just by a day, no commission is paid out. It's just a tricky way of saving on rewards and hiding behind the conditions. This happened to two family members so far. I cannot condone this, reason why we've all decided to cancel our accounts. Some of our friends will probably follow.

The app looks very well designed, and being able to track your expenses in style is nice. It is easy to track who is charging your card with very well defined names. However, if you need to add money from another bank account, it has problems. The linked bank account is not updated well, so although you have money in your linked bank, it shows the balance from a day ago. When you add money from that account, you have to wait a few days. A similar app like Wise can do this instantly.

downgrading from 5 stars to 1 star. Stock trading has glitched for me. Can't access my money, can't perform transactions. doesn't work on Android app, doesn't work on a Windows browser. Spent a ridiculous amount of time troubleshooting with a chat bot only for them to finally acknowledge that the problem is likely on their side. I'm left in "your problem has been escalated, somebody will look into it. Check back later" This should NEVER happen with a finance app.

This company is your nightmare waiting to happen. They froze my cards for no apparent reason other than security in general. Then closed my account for no apparent reason other than the rules (really ambiguous, could be one of four things, each of which is itself ambiguous). Then I have to pay two months of fees to cancel my subscription. But I have to wait for a mighty slow bank transfer and hope it gets there in time to cancel the plan without wasting more of my money. What next???

Recently overhauled the budgeting tools. I was previously able to categorize purchases on multiple banks through the app, making Revolut a comprehensive budgeting tool for me. The ability to categorize purchases made with other banks was removed. I can still see the old menu flash on the screen when I pull up transaction data. I pay for the metal premium membership. I should not be losing features, especially when it's obvious that they can be easily made available.
