“Countries Been” allows you to browse the world, its places, and add the ones you have already explored or want to visit to a colorful visual checklist. You can even use the world map to explore new places and learn more about them, or to see images of popular sites and attractions - useful for gathering ideas for future trips or simply satisfying your travel curiosity. You can share your map onto your favorite social networks, to compare with your friends or use it for bragging rights!
The states and provinces of over 30 countries can now be explored and added to your map. We are adding states of more countries periodically. Return to the app to keep up with them!

I like that this app is available. I just wish it was more flexible. For instance, being able to see regions of countries (states, provinces, etc.). It would also be nice if you could mark countries as places we have been and want to go back to. It would also be nice if it included all world heritage sites as locations, and it would be amazing if you could link photos to each place you have been

I've tried two other country tracking apps like this (been and one other) and this has been my favourite. Adding new countries is easy and I really like the multiple colours for keeping track of different standards of having been in a country (the app suggests you use them as been,lived,want, I prefer to use them as been,transited,booked). There are some curious subdivisions and no unrecognised territories are listed, but the definition of 'country' will always be somewhat arbitrary. A great app

Pretty good app. Graphics are nice, and it doesn't seem to have performance issues. Would give the 5th star if the search function were better. For example, a search for "galapagos" returns nothing - not even a suggestion for Ecuador. Additionally, it would be great if there were tracking for states/provinces. For example, if you have been to 10/50 United States then you have seen 20% of the country. Every country for which states have been downloaded should be tracked this way. Tracking for continents and bodies of water (oceans, seas, lakes) would be nice too. When you zoom in very far, a pop-up suggesting to search for a city name appears. I wish this would stop showing up after you've already dismissed it once.

Mostly great as far as marking actual cities, some towns, and countries. Would give 5+ stars if the following improvements were implemented: landmarks, major tourist attractions, bodies of water, and other small towns added. Also would like the sharing option to provide a complete list of the places broken down into categories. I hope some or all of these additions/changes can be accomplished.

App works great. A couple suggestions... When you zoom in it should at least show the country name. Also, if I've lived somewhere, then that country should count as having been there too. Otherwise, I'm a fan! I like the colors, ease of use, and some places can be broken into states. That's great!

I love this app. it's great to mark and see the places you have visited and want to visit. Very easy to use. Only thing I would like to see changed: Please allow me to have my country (Wales) to stay orange separately from the rest of UK when I zoom out. I can't understand why Svalbard and Jan Mayern are shown as separate from Norway, but Wales, England, Scotland and N Ireland are fixed together.
