OK to start I couldn't get my wifi and ac to talk to each other. Not the apps fault at all. I contacted kenmore for help. We exchanged a total 6 emails each. Unfortunately with no success. I sent them a little more info, such as a screen shot of each page on the app. They replied back in a hour and told me my wifi module was bad. They sent one free of charge that day, I received it the following day. Installation of the module took less than 5 min. So minus one star because I'd like more options.

Like others, I had trouble getting the app to connect with my Kenmore Smart air conditioner. Today, after running the air conditioner for a couple of hours, I was able to get the app to work. Maybe something in the appliance needs to "boot up"? My prior attempts were right after the air conditioner was installed and it hadn't run for very long. Just tossing it out there in case somebody else wants to give it a shot.

Intermittent at best -- now it works, now it claims appliance doesn't exist or you're too stupid to manage your network properly. On & off for maybe 4 months, then suddently appliance can't communicate. "Check your network." On re-installing app and logging in, app says there are no appliances to manage, please add one. On adding, app says, "This product is already registered to your account." Nowhere left to go, out of options. Terrible app, no regard for customers.

So apparently you can't just change your wifi on here, clicked the Wi-Fi it use to be connected to. Just kept telling me it wasn't connected. Tried calling customer support. They gave me the run-around. Transferred me 11 times and gave me the same number I called just so I have the "right" number that they were transferring me to. It doesn't surprise me though since Kenmore and sears have zero value in their customers.

Ive been using the app for over 2 years and it has been great. Then all of a sudden yesterday I get a messege saying WIFI not connected. And now I cannot use it anymore. It doesn't even let me Remove the device to start over. Please help, not being able to use it remotely it terrible. And now the light on my AC unit that says Smart no longer is lighting up green. Please help , does not connect to my wifi. Says product Added but cannot connect to wifi **Update Fixed it. Thank you so much!!!

I was not optimistic when I decided to download this app due to the low rating average. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. Connecting my Kenmore Elite AC unit was relatively easy. One thing I would suggest is before you begin using this app make sure all other apps on your phone are closed, that your bluetooth is on and that you have allowed access to your phone. Once connected, the app works well. I will certainly save money with this tool at my disposal.
