I tried to use this app to backup my photos and videos, but it just didn't cut it. The app has multiple major bugs. 1. The Sync function isn't reliable at all. Lots of files get missed. 2. The Android version of the app doesn't upload original photos. The location exif information is removed when the image is uploaded. Bug #2 doesn't exist in the iOS version.

I was told 2 months ago that the issue with adding folders was being reviewed, but no update or additional follow up. So I've basically been unable to use the service for 15% of the yearly package I pay for. Summary of feature requests from prior review (2017): Option to restrict syncing to specific times (eg, sync when my network isn't in use at night when I'm asleep). Option to exclude subfolders (I don't need the thumbnail folder on my phone to sync to the cloud/my computer).

If I can't backup files from my SD Card, the app is USELESS!! I store most of my pics & docs on my SD card! I'm so disappointed. I have SugarSync Premium on my laptop & really like it. Imho, options like Dropbox & Drive are very limited. With SugarSync you can selectively-sync individual folders. You can sync between devices, use it for backup only, or a combination of both. I Love not having to move all my files to a separate backup folder (like Dropbox). But no SD card backup with the app?? DEALBREAKER!!

Used SS for years & suddenly out of nowhere I can no longer sync albums off my Android. Crashes everytime I try to add a folder. See someone else reported this a month ago and apparently they don't care. Tried getting support and it's an awful back and forth email with no response in 2 days. Been wanting to leave SS for awhile now due to overpricing but didn't want to bother loading everything up elsewhere. However, looks like I'll need to reconsider that now since the app is useless to me.

Very disappointed!, after a month using the app & transferring my files on the server, today I get the notification that your trial period is over & you must upgrade your account, I thought it's a free app or at least has a minimum low speed storage for free but it suppose to be purchase, I just wasted my time, I'm in the banned country & there is no way I could buy subscription with any method, Uninstall the app & never install it again, good luck with your happy clients, I'm not one of them!

Previously rated by me years ago as 5 stars, minimal feature updates in the ¬7 or so years I've paid a 250GB subscription for. The app recently stopped working for me, resulting in a support request. Never got a response, so in that time I research newer cloud sync and backup options and found SugarSync to be highly overpriced. It was top of the charts 7 years ago when I gave it 5 stars. Now I've sent a request for them to close my account. No pro-rata refund despite the app not working anymore!
