About this app
Easily learn Japanese phrases and words! Speak Japanese with confidence!
The “Learn Japanese” app has many useful Japanese phrases and words (e.g., “Thank you!”, “How much?” or “A table for two, please!”). When you tap a phrase, the app speaks it aloud. There is no guessing as to how to pronounce the words. And if the app is talking too quickly for you, simply tap the snail icon to hear the words more slowly. And if the app is talking too quickly for you, simply tap the turtle icon to hear it more slowly. Listen to pronunciation recorded by native Japanese speaker and then record and play back your own voice to practice your Japanese speaking skills!
When traveling to Japan (e.g., Tokyo or Osaka), make sure you bring the app with you! Ideally you listen to a phrase and repeat it, but if your accent is terrible, you can play the voice on the app to local Japanese people (e.g., a waiter or store clerk). Language barrier while travelling abroad will no longer exist!

Great app for Japanese basics! However, some words are mistranslated slightly. For example, (I don't have a japanese keyboard so just bare with me.) "Douzo," doesn't mean please, it means "here you go". Who, what, when, where, and how are also slightly mistranslated. For example, "what" would be "nani," but the app says what means "nan desu ka," which actually translates to "what is..." Do not reccommend if you are a beginner learner. Search up correct definitions if you used this app :)

I love this app. I bought it without hesitation. I only wish that there were more phrase books available. With Hawaiian and a few native American languages in it. Also several other languages like Croatian, African, etc. languages, Hungarian, and several others. I'd buy those apps also if they were just like this phrase book. 17 languages in this one, and I'm living it. If I were to travel and didn't get to become fluent in a language, I could easily use this app to comunicate. Thank you!❤️

I would buy it if the "phonetic" setting could be fumaji and not just romaji. It really slows your progress reading roman characters. This is especially true when learning from an app, since the writing element is removed. Therefore, the app has limited value for me.

Some annoying ads that pop up, which i can thankfully back out of, but its a very lovely app that has simple phrases to familiarize when you're learning japanese or when you plan to visit Japan and need simple phrases to get you by!

Quote a good app but some things translate wrong. If your a beginner, I'd recommend a different app for you to try because if you learn it from this then you could be slightly wrong. But overall, quite good if you know basics
