About this app
Professional light intensity (lux) meter that measures illumination levels in lux.
It features direct reading in lux or fc (foot candles) and can display the measured light color temperature in degrees Kelvin (K) if your device supports this.
NOTE: This app requires device with a light sensor to function. Also, light color and infrared measurement works only on small number of devices. In order for this meter to be exact you need to perform a calibration procedure described in the apps's info screen.

Not happy anymore. No K color This meter is by far the best I have seen and still using. It has light color reading candle foot and lumens readings and it's very accurate on my Note 8. Thank you guys. Update 6/10/18. I mostly used this App because it would allowed me to see the light source color temperature reading. Now it says n/a. I am disappointed they took that out. update 4/2/19 it looks like the app developers fix the color temp problem. its great now.

Light brightness (LUX or LUMENS) and Light Temperature (Frequency) readings match an older light meter I used for film photography. The accuracy of the app depends on the phone used. On my Pixel 3a it stunk. With my Samsung Galaxy it was very accurate. Great app. Light temperature is not a reading of heat, its a reading of frequency. This not a Spot meter. If you want a spot meter buy an old Weston Spot Meter.

Decent app. Nice UI. Two issues. 1) Meter uses front-facing camera. Need to be able to use rear camera so phone can be aimed at light source while being able to see the screen. 2) Color temperature is off by a factor of 10 - example, 5000K daylight is displaying as 500K. Need to add a zero at the end.

We live in a 2yo home and we are still choosing the lighting. We have this app in all our phones, I have a Samsung A5 2015. It is very useful to compare different lightings. Another reason to choose a 2014 samsung over a newer "specky" phone from google or others. If pixel, nexus or bqs don't have color sensor don't blame this app!

Thank You Very much and a MERRY CHRISTMAS to You. Gee, your App is awesome. Some real thought went into it. Sofisticated and made simple. And very accurate. I use it for mainly my CUV interior and exterior LED and HID lights, both the Kelvin for the Colour temps and the Lux lumens measurements. You app gives it all! I also like the SAVE a reading feature. Is not the Cell Phone an incredible device. For me it's the apps. Voice/Txt are a low priority. Thanks again.

Light temperature does not work 3/2023. Calibrated with new costly 3K Philips LED and it got the temperature correct when calibrating but hard to read because of glare (only display side sensor is used). Even after "calibration", however, the main display simply says the temperature is "N/A" -- making the app not particularly useful for mapping mixed source lit areas. Definitely not "Pro" quality if you are lighting merchandise or art.
