About this app
Thermometer is a vintage room Celsius / Fahrenheit indoor & outdoor virtual wall thermometer.
Thermometer app can measure and display the ambient temperature in which your device is and also display the current outside temperature and weather conditions acquired by your local meteorological station*.
It features a real vintage wall thermometer look with analog and digital readouts, Celsius and Fahrenheit scale and Indoor / Outdoor option.
It also has a simulated weather background option showing the current weather conditions outside.
NOTE: The accuracy of the measured ambient temperature on most devices is limited because very few devices have dedicated ambient temperature sensor. On most devices the measured and displayed temperature is the temperature of the device's internal electronics or battery and this is the same as the actual ambient temperature only if the device has been sitting a long time on stand-by.
The only way to accurately measure the ambient temperature is when you start Thermometer app right after you wake your device that has been sitting on stand-by for at least an hour. This limitation is not app's fault and by using this method you can measure the actual ambient temperature to an accuracy of a degree.
*Outdoor temperature and weather conditions information is provided by the Meteorologisk institutt of Norway NRK weather web service accessible at Yr.no
Optional altitude information is provided by Open-Elevation web service accessible at open-elevation.com

Seems to be quite good. I tested it by putting it side-by-side with a regular thermometer near the fire in my lounge and it compared very well. Nice looking too. °C or °F. Various styles & backgrounds. I tried a few thermometer apps recommended by various app-rating websites on Google but none of them were anywhere near as good as this one; in functionality, looks, & ease of use. I'm a really fussy S.O.B. so if I say it's good then it's good, ya get me?!

The ONLY app on the market that I found doing it's job as supposed to! Showing inside and outside temperatures accurately (you must have a dedicated ambient temperature sensor on your device for this to work properly, otherwise the measurement is taken from the CPU/battery which is less accurate). The ambient temperature sensor is accurate and the outside local temp also in +-1°C. Great job on the programming side. However, the digital design is really poor. I like to see simultaneously the inside and the outside temperature but the only option to do so is the digital version which is ugly... If you would change the digital design or the app layout I would gladly pay for this app to remove the adds (for which, the option is also missing).

Showing internal temp as 30° but it is actually 21 .4 ° (and has done for ages , never changed)measured by another weather station with hygrometer ! Also outside tp not working which the developer knows about some time ago ! Actually dumped this just after that review ,;and this week thought I'd give it another go , no difference , still no outside temperature, uninstalling and NEVER coming back !

The app is easy to use and also does not show much adds. Accuracy is fine but not satisfying which is the reason I did it 3 stars. For instance, it shows temp-31degc when it is 28 literally. It has an error margin of about 3 degrees. Overall the app is better than others but not a very good stuff

Absolutely does not work. While I was outside (shivering) in what felt like, and ALL the weather services said was 10 degrees, according to this app, I was in a balmy 20 degrees. You are better off with the built in weather service on most smart phones.

Plain and simple. Inside/indoor thermometer doesn't work. Tried several times, for several days in my bedroom, but it keeps saying 30.2C or higher, while I'm literally freezing my a$$ off. 100% garbage app. Deleted.
