The official Destiny 2 Companion app keeps you connected to your Destiny adventure wherever life takes you. Sign in using PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, Epic Games, and Twitch.
DIRECTOR - See the latest featured content. Track your progress towards bounties, quests, and challenges. Discover what events and activities are live in the game. See your current rank for seasonal rewards, acquire bounties, claim rewards from the previous season, and inspect vendors for what they have available.
GUARDIAN - Inspect all of your favorite weapons and armor, view item stats and perks, and move your equipment between your characters and the vault. Retrieve lost items from the Postmaster without heading to the Tower! View your Triumphs, Collections, Stat Trackers, and Game History.
CLAN - Create and manage your Clan with its own unique shared identity - or browse for an existing clan to join. Track your clan level, progress, and all shared rewards. Stay connected with your clanmates through text chat on one or more clan specific channels.
FIRETEAMS - Search and filter fireteams by activity type and find a team to play with now or create your own. The fireteam leader can send invites to quickly get everyone in the fireteam together in game on any platform.

hit or miss with the functionality of the app, namely forums. sometimes it sends with no issues, other times it sends nothing when pressing the checkmark to send. other time it sends it 5 times due to an error code, spamming the receiver. this isnt just when destiny 2 is on maintenance, this is biweekly if not once a week.

I like having this app to move weapons and armor around and collect bounties. Very convenient. On the flip side, it doesn't work half the time. You click on something, and the cursor just spins, and it never loads into your inventory. End up having to go to each of the vendors to get the bounties. Update Oct 2023. This app is unusable for the most part. Haven't been able to download bounties in months, and now weapon swapping is hit or miss. Really wish they would give this app some love.

Being able to change loadouts and accept bounties mid-mission is an absolute life saver at times, and I love that I can reach into my vault or even my other characters and transfer items at to and from them with the click of a button. Plus you can see what each vendor is selling, saving tons of walking time. Also, the ads are never intrusive and I sometimes don't even notice them at all, lol. This is an absolute must have if you like to play Destiny 2.

When I'm thinking real time, this app is great. I can transfers items between my characters and the vault. I can accept items from the postmaster as well as get bounties from vendors. It doesn't allow purchases such as items from Tess or upgrade modules. I'm also unable to scrap or infuse items. It does go down for maintenance once in awhile, usually no more than a day when it's an expansion launch. It works well enough for me in saving time before and while I'm logged in on my console. Xbox

The app is very convenient when it decides to work. Every once in a while it won't let me get bounties, then will randomly say that I need to authorize purchases via Google Play to use that feature. This often pops up when I'm not paying attention to my phone so by the time I see it and accept it says it's expired. Why have the 6 use limit? And why do the notifications for this not show up until a while (10+ min) after attempting to get the bounties? I have notifications on

update: 7/5/2019 Bungie should really add a dismantle button within the app. It's a really great app. Allows me to see what Xur is selling without having to turn on the game, and be able to see the new bounties and strikes as well. I only wish it had the option to pick up and then in bounties as well. It would make it so much easier when doing story missions or multiple bounties at once. That way you won't have to waste time going back and forth from the tower or the reef.
