There's a lot of good and a lot of bad. It's strange too because most of my critiques are easily addressable. The game can be a little buggy (specifically audio), cards are hard to come by unless you pay which makes progression painfully slow- especially for new players, and even worse, after all these years we still don't have the ability to change our username! It's baffles me how a reputable game developer company can be okay with all of these player inconveniences. Hoping for chnages

I see so much potential in this game, but there's too many issues currently. While it's a really fun card game overall, the PvP matchmaking is busted. As a brand new player I was consistently matched up against others at almost the highest rating (could be due to no players). Additionally, it is an insane grind to get any new cards, it's so bad that it's almost pay to play (not even pay to win, but worse). If this ever gets fixed, I would love to play it more because it has potential.

Cool ideas are on display here. If it weren't for the terrible progression system, matchmaking, rng mechanics and some of the worst balancing I've ever seen in my life, it might even be good. The outcome of games is not determined by skill, but a combination of who had the better starting hand and who drew better cards. The campaign started as a good way to avoid multiplayer, but the levels just ballooned into nightmares of rng. If I could describe the game in one word it would be "irritating".

This game is fun, but it's brutal when you first play (this is souly targeted at multi-player). There's no protection for new players from others who have been playing for a long time, thus leading to automatic loses because they have far superior cards to new players. I don't want to spend money to unlock new heroes and cards, but now I feel stuck with single-player only, and it sucks when I have a challenge to win multi-player matches but I struggle heavily with it. Really considering deleting

I'm sad to only give this game three stars, I've played it for years and enjoyed it, but recent changes to the ads make the game obnoxious. Instead of being optional, where watching one would give you one extra reroll of a daily quest and some gems, the ads now just pop up, at random, after completing a match. This wouldn't be that bad, but the game has gone years without this intrusive ad design, and it makes the game worse for no reason. Stop being greedy and start fixing the bugs.

Well... it's ok. The presentation, like the other games in the PvZ franchise, is excellent. The gameplay, however, is something else entirely. Older players destroy new players, you can barely make progress in Story mode after some levels, and battles are mostly luck based. Not to mention, the balancing is quite awful, with some cards lowering your health instantly. A tip I recommend to new players is to grind for gems using ads. I got some heroes and legendaries using that.
