The app is clearly old and badly made, I still can't make it record. To all those who are having problems with Android and WiFi, connect to the drone and then DISABLE MOBILE DATA. Since the drone doesn't provide internet connectivity, the phone will simply ignore it and will try to use mobile data instead.

Much like a lot of the other reviews, just can't get it to work on Android. Phone connects to the cameras wifi but the app won't connect to the drone. Tried several phones with different android verdion and no luck. Took a gamble on a cheap drone in the clearance isle at Rural King and lost.

OMG, how do they get away with this. I am using this with the X15w The app installs but does nothing. After much pressing of the start button it brings up a controller which does nothing. The WIFI appears to be connected in the phone settings, but when you open the app there is no WIFI connection. I managed to get a WiFi signal one by pressing the power button on the app and though it showed a signal, it still did nothing. There is no image from the camera and I tried absolutely everything.

Android version 9 - Samsung A20e. Just doesn't work. Nothing happens. Tried tweaking network settings. No go. I can connect to the wifi network and it stays connected, I start the app, press the start button, and nothing works from that point. The power button on the screen is unresponsive. The movie button causes my phone to beep, but nothing else. The camera button does nothing. With my daughter's iPhone - it worked instantly. Any tips to make this work? Camera functions are completely useless without the mobile phone app.

Its very good, controls aren't complicated for the user. works really well when you cant find the controler for the drone.... Could update the app tho to make it look more appealing, other than that i would recommend people to use this app.

What can I say this drones a beast! I love drones have quite a few, and this drone is awesome!! Had one crashed it. The thing broke (50 feet over payment. Didnt stand a chance) seeked out others to buy. The app is fine dont know why people are always complaining it's a friggen toy people!!! You think an 8 year old kid really cares?!?! Sure the app could be updated but syma always seems to deliver a decent drone.
