I've been using this APP for almost two years now and it has worked as it should consistently without error. At first I could not get it to work correctly. I found the problem linked to using a Gmail account during setup. I switched to another email provider and all was well. After my vehicles last service, the details were incorrectly entered into Toyotas database which showed my service listed as a 'repair'. The help from the inbuilt App Support was brilliant and problem corrected pronto.

Mostly good, however there are a few inconveniences. The failed to sync pop-up appears frequently on the car's display after restarting the car, even in places with good signal. If you dismiss it, then, on later starts, it syncs well without the need to re-login, but it is annoying that the pop-up always appears twice. Also, since the digital key was introduced, it keeps changing the Bluetooth name of the phone to "Passive", this being the name with which it is visible to other devices.

After the last app update, I cannot login. I tried with Sign in as well (here a page briefly opens, then it goes back to the Sign in screen), and also with biometric authentication (in which case I receive the message: There was an issue with the account sign in process. Please try signing in manually. We apologize for the inconvenience.) Until a few days ago, everything was working perfectly. LE: is working again.

7.10.2025: I am again disconnected randomly and asked to login again. Disappointing for such a simple feature. Later edit: seems that the disconnect issue was improved. Happens rarely now, more when the internet is slow. One wish is for more functionality, like being able to open and close the windows to air the car. initial review: Barely works. Disconnects and ask for user and password constantly. This is the most annoying issue. Takes 30-60 seconds to send a command to the car.

The app is fine and constantly getting updated with more features. I would like to see in the future the ability to plan a trip with the option to add intermediate stops before the destination. This way you can force the route to pass through specific places if you like because the automated route finder in the app just proposes one route and you have no option to edit it.

The app is non-functional half of the time. It also signs you out from time-to-time for "security reasons", even if you have fingerprint scan on. Some function work well all the time, like locking and unlocking the car. Others almost always give you an error, like starting the AC remotely.
