Normally I would give this 5 stars, but recently I've been having a couple problems. First off, sometimes my settings will be reset so I have to check first every time. But the main problem is that the app won't work a lot of times when I try connecting. I'll toggle the connect button and it will turn grenade but the sheep icon and map stays exactly how it was and never connects. I usually have to restart my phone before it will actually work right.

This app has recurring amnesia. Every time I update it on my Android, and even sometimes when I don't, it logs me out and forgets all about me. Even if I'm logged in, sometimes it arbitrarily decides I don't really have a paid account, and scolds me. It seems like a VPN service is a relatively simple thing, or at least the app that provides it ought to be simple, but somehow this app just gets worse over time. It's great when it works, but that's all too seldom.

This app worked great. Until it didn't. Now it won't turn on and I get a perpetual 'Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later'. I'm stuck in UK, and can't even connect there. Addendum: IDK what you did on your last app update, but now it works great for my Android. No more interfere with my truck interface and no more having to Uninstall and re-install to get it to work. Well done!

Great when it works, but it's an extremely inconsistent service. My biggest issue is the lack of feedback when it's having trouble connecting Some form of error message would make that easier to deal with. I've also run into issues where it will tell me I'm connected to a server, yet my IP information remains the same. Paid for a month, but cancelled the subscription not long after signing up.

Nice when it works, but it usually doesn't. Connecting is a struggle and can take 10+ attempts over half an hour, if it ever works at all. Edit to specify: It'll fail to connect after hitting the button and stay "disconnected". Eventually toggling itself off after about 5 minutes. Never establishing a connection. Trying again for 30+ minutes is the only fix and just hoping it sorts itself out. Restarting the app, your phone, and so on does not help.

I have used tunnelbear a long time and for the past year the service has been crazy slow. For two years I have been battling the following: The app does not notify when it disconnects, hangs, sometimes never connects. The split settings reset after update. I have tried to resolve my issues with tech support to no avail. They either say reinstall or they don't know. After being a long time frustrated customer i cut my losses and switched services. Good luck.
