About this app
The Volkswagen app is the digital companion for your Volkswagen. It allows you to use mobile online services, irrespective of which model you drive with which drive type and whether you have a VW Connect, We Connect or Car-Net contract.
With the Volkswagen app, for instance, as the primary user, you can view your Volkswagen vehicle’s current range, pre-set your preferred temperature, find filling stations and charging stations and much more!
Here are just a few of the wide range of services available:
• Vehicle status: Check whether the vehicle is locked and the lights are switched off
• Send your destination to your vehicle with ease before you travel
• View the last parking position
• Store your preferred authorised workshop or contact Volkswagen AG directly
• Vehicle Health Report
• View the remaining range and current charge level even when you're not in the vehicle

To use the mobile online services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and to log in to the Volkswagen app with your username and password. In addition, a separate contract (VW Connect, VW Connect Plus, We Connect or We Connect Plus) on the use of mobile online services must be concluded with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the Volkswagen app. More information is available at connect.volkswagen.com and your Volkswagen dealership.
ID.3 Pro: Electricity consumption in kWh/100 km: combined 16.5-15.2; CO2 emissions in g/km: combined 0. Consumption and emissions data is only available for the vehicle according to the WLTP, and not according to the NEDC. Information on consumption and CO₂ emissions with ranges depending on the selected equipment of the vehicle.
In practice, the actual electrical range varies depending on factors including driving style, speed, use of convenience/auxiliary equipment, outside temperature, number of passengers/additional load, topography and the battery's age and wear process.

Not syncing mileage and service intervals when package Security & Service+ is expired is so lame. This should be basic functionality. Update: I'm fully aware of the fee based services. However this is basic like water and should be free. Second, the app and web is so bad that it looks like you are not investing at all for service improvents. Third, software in a WV car is even more bad compared to any other manufacturer. Triple shame on you VW. Never again buying a car from you.

A nice app lacking functionality. Changing airco and following your charging are the most useful functions but don't expect more. I think it's one of the more simple apps existing for electrical cars. You cant do much more than seeing some status and change the most basic settings you never use. Ooh and of course you can buy your additional packs.

I regret getting an ID4. I specifically asked if the car had a feature I needed- the ability to turn on heated seats remotely. But it doesn't. Not only this but the app and the car don't remember anything about you. Everytime I get in I have to turn off the speed limiter - which is dangerous as it will change my speed based on the speed limit it *thinks* the road is. Worst of all, the car, the app, and my home charger all fight for control of charging the vehicle. I cant control it at all.

between 50% and all of the functions paid for fail on a daily basis. Have been in constant contact with customer support but they have slowed up on responding to me, presumably once you pay for it they have no interest if it works or not. I'm 3 months into the year subscription and have had less than a week of the advertised features working. Edit following comment, you want me to contact you... I've been in constant contact with you. if thats the best you have you need to start refunding us!

Well, constant connection fail and it takes forever when we need to turn on AC. I would expect much more from the app if you need to pay so much. EDIT: unable to turn on AC or lock/unlock car. It always fails! very disappointing when you are approaching a car with two small children in summer and the car is hot as hell.

The app does work well. I would, however, like to see some automation or lock reminder. I keep forgetting to lock the car and not realising till the next morning. there are also little glitches. sometimes I can see my car is unlocked from my house, but when I open the app it says closed and it's just synced.
