Severe weather alerts for your exact location. Storm Shield gives you storm-based alerts for tornado, hurricane, flood, thunderstorm, winter storms and other life-threatening weather events via voice and push notification.
Storm-based alerts help reduce false alarms by alerting you to severe weather based on your exact location within a county. County-based alerts can result in false alarms, warning you when your location in the county is not within the threatened area.

what happened? The notifications are definitely hit and miss, duplicates and the voice tells you there's an alert but doesn't tell you where. when you click on the notification there's nothing in the app. transferred to a new phone yesterday and a lot of the options are gone and no more voice alerts. nothing about the tsunami warning for San Francisco. Even though I have several locations enabled. and no widget!!! probably will uninstall today....

For the past few months I get the voice giving me notice of weather alerts but when I go to the app there are no alerts showing. the app used to work great, not it doesn't do anything but tell me there is a weather alert but I have no way to find what that alert is since alerts shows "0" immediately after I receive the alert. No. I didn't change anything on my phone that would cause this to happen.

This app is fantastic, when it works. I got a new phone, and when I tried to set my alerts and locations, all I keep getting is we can't find your location, and when I try to enter it manually I get the same message. I am more than willing to pay the subscription, but not it it doesn't work. I cannot find a way to contact anyone about this and I find it extremely frustrating as I see this app as crucial when it comes to weather alerts. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall several times with the very same results. I also have a NOAA weather radio, and most times I get the alert from Storm Shield before the radio goes off. Update: I was able to contact support and fix the issue!

I'd give this a zero if I could. Yes, it's a good app but I've had it for several years and all of the sudden it goes up from $1.49/mo to $5.99/mo.....a $4.50/mo increase with no warning and no option to pay yearly at a discount. So much for having loyalty to their customers. Definitely not worth $72 a year!! I understand prices have gone up but not 300%!!!!

Got a new phone, now I can't access my app. Can't get past the initial location screen. I'm getting the alerts, but can't click on them to read them as it brings me right back to the page asking for my location, which isn't working. Seems like many people are experiencing the same issue. It's a good app, when it works, but I am considering cancelling my subscription and finding a better app that works if this can't be resolved soon.

Uodate. Did not see the premium button this time. We'll see. I cannot get past the $1.99 'free' trial bundle. I tried on the first device thinking it was telling me what I could get and I would have an option to actually decline when I set up my profile but didn't ever see one. I will not use the app and am uninstalling. I better not see a charge on my bill. Sorry Leland, you are a good salesman but it is a con job they have you doing.
