Shadow Era is a great game, but it's starting to show its age graphically! I think a graphics enhancement or even a graphics overhaul released in an anniversary edition or redux edition would be great! The cards themselves look clear and are easy to read, but the other graphics, aside from the green logo, are starting to look dated and low resolution [muddy]! I'll happily play the game as it is, it's absolutely funtastic, I'm just making a friendly suggestion!

It is F2P. I want to recommend it, but I can't. If you’re going to play, be prepared for MANY things that will probably just make you find another game instead. Full of trolls. Be sure to disable chat. If your opponent disconnects (rage quits) from the game, you'll most likely be the one punished for it. You'll be left in the game with a never-ending timer that just keeps going up and up, sometimes for 10+ minutes, until you either concede, the game concedes for you, or your opponent reconnects.

It needs a way to remove the animations and make gameplay faster. Otherwise, quite excellently balanced, if one has doubts about the usefulness of a character, check the forums. Also it is most frustrating that I can't test any decks without buying cards, if there was a test stage against a dumb AI for any deck, that would be great.

I really like this CCG, it shows that they can be just as great as their physical counter-parts. I would buy physical packs/decks for this if I could. I really like the meltdown draft system, and if there were a couple extra gameplay styles it would be perfect. For a mobile CCG, still have to give it a perfect 8/10, coming from a free player. If I had a little bit of money to spend on Shadow Crystals it'd probably be 10/10. Still awesome Edit: I did, it is. Can't wait to catch up

Edited: There are bugs in the campaign that have not been addressed for over a year. Frustrating to play now. -2* for this. Been playing this game for a few years. I really enjoy the ability to play against AI or actual players. Never paid any money to play and it's totally possible as a casual player who enjoys deck building amd tuning. Cards can be bought and sold for in game currency so getting rare cards isn't impossible. I've even gotten rare and epic cards from the free daily chest.

Overall it's a well designed game, and it seems balanced. The only complaint I have is that as a free player, it takes alot of grinding to get booster packs. Each game takes between 10 and 15 minutes typically, and after the first couple of levels it takes dozens of them to get a level, which only amounts to 1/4 of a new booster pack. It's hard to get into multiplayer (which rewards better) when I still don't have a decent collection of cards to experiment with.
