Like many my account has been restricted for no reason and there is no real way to fix it. That being said the app was an easy 5 stars before the restriction. Then even now all restriction means is I can't post, comment, or message. I wasn't super active to begin. with and mostly just enjoyed the content. Which I can still enjoy even while restricted. So I guess for now I will just continue to view.

This has become my favorite social media app. Not constantly bombarded with ads, shops, or promo posts. If Americans are willing to struggle through Chinese menus and prompts rather than use social media apps that are natively English, rednote must be doing something right. On that topic, though, it has come a long way to accommodate English speakers since its initial popularity boom in the US.

It's actually pretty good, the community is nice, there is a lot of AI stuff at the beginning of the actual app itself but the people on it tend to ignore that, It's a little uncensored and there can be iffy parts that allow young characters, but you can just report those and move on and they'll be gone within the week, and I do like the inclusivity on it and the translations, but sometimes they don't translate languages that are in the database, so sometimes I just can't read comments

Great at first, but after a few months...I'm starting to see some of the worst people on this app. I'll click to translate comments I come across, but some are just insanely colorist/racist! Not to mention, a lot of posts that I see nowadays are just reposts from other platforms that supposedly they don't allow? Or even just lazy posts that are just people "reacting" to an image or video without even contributing to the conversation. Only use this app to see cool artists that are only on here.

Extremely healthy environment for social platform, which is very refreshing to see. Even though I don't speak Mandarin, it's a relatively easy UI. Only thing I would say, is that it would be beneficial to have more translation to English (and other languages) for captions and such, but I fully understand this has primarily been for Chinese users. I'm looking forward to exploring the app and it's features more!

I really hope the appeal system is adjusted soon! My account did get banned a few hours after being created (by a glitch, I'm assuming, as I had not posted or commented on anything). Today I saw the appeal option was working now! Exciting, but unfortunately, I could not submit my form because my phone number was incorrectly formatted (it's an American #) I will keep checking every so often with the hopes that I can get back to the amazing platform I experienced such a tiny glimpse of.
