The Camp Chef app introduces a bold, new convenient way to cook outdoors.
Control your grill from your phone
Tastiness is only a tap away! Use the Camp Chef app to connect to your WIFI/Bluetooth enabled pellet grill. You’ll be able to set and monitor temperatures, adjust smoke levels, and shut down your grill from your mobile device.
Monitor your cook
Actively monitor the temperature of your grill and meat probes on your phone. Set and enable pop-up notifications for grill timers or once meat probe goal temperatures have been met. Have the ability to connect and monitor your grill from anywhere, as if you were standing beside your grill.
Your data stored on all your devices
By creating an account through the Camp Chef app, your grill’s cook data is available to you at all times on all your mobile devices. Seamlessly switch between multiple Camp Chef grills. Historical cook graphs (coming soon) will allow you to view the results of a specific cook over time. These graphs will grant you access to information and insights allowing you to view what went well and what you would change.

How is this app still so terrible? After a year of use it still has multiple problems. Notifications don't work when the probe is showing the set reading. Constantly have to force close and reopen app to get correct temperature information. Connectivity issues, like I tell it to shut down on my phone and it says that it is/does but I check my grill an hour later and it's still running. Come on Camp Chef. You normally make such great products. Figure this out.

Setup is pretty terrible. Every step is between 30 seconds and 3 minutes. Multiple crashes and won't accept correct wifi password. Haven't even got to try the app out after 20 minutes of trying. **Edit** Updating after 1-2 years of use. App is decent. Still has some bugs, but my biggest request for change would be to make the temps on the graph easier to read. 50° intervals is far too large, making it hard to decipher.

Cannot Adjust Temperature & Poor Connections. If adjusting the temperature from the app, it now starts at around 8300F. Yes, over 8000 degrees F is the lowest temperature you can set from the app. So it's useless for controlling temperature now. It also loses connectivity to the unit occasionally, once you are outside of about 30ft. This is even when the smoker is connect to your home WiFi. App has been a disaster for years and they just made it worse again

We don't know what some people are talking about in their criticisms. Even though our expectations were lowered by the low reviews, we are delighted with this app! It let's us know when a set temp. has been reached, shows internal and 2 probe temperatures and has a lot of presets that make everything a snap to set up. We didn't expect it to wash the dishes, so are very pleased.

Used to work perfectly after they did a big update on the app. And now suddenly I get no notifications and the app doesn't show up in the list for apps notifications to turn it on... So it doesn't do the primary thing I want it to do, alert me. Update: my actual problem became that my temperature would read an astronomically high 2573 and although I could usually see the probes, I could make no adjustments. Ses they just made an update to address this a few days ago. let's see..

I wish it would let me set alarms for different temperture points instead of just a timer alarm. The app has been losing connection a lot, and I wish that it showed the temps in a widget like the Weber app does. Otherwise, it's handy... definitely better than a smoker without one, but there's so much greater potential and literally no updates or improvements in years to the app.
