What Garmin ActiveCaptain® Is Used For

Garmin ActiveCaptain® is a phone app designed for owners of compatible Garmin marine chartplotters. Based on the metadata, it appears to serve as a companion app for boating activities such as cruising, fishing, sailing, and diving, rather than as a stand-alone navigation tool. Users may use it to connect a mobile device to a chartplotter over Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth, move routes and waypoints between devices, and manage chart and map content.
