The app is slow and buggy still, it's honestly atrocious that an internet company can't make a polished app. 3 years later: The app is a full scale advertisement for services you don't want, and never use. Enjoy paying for an unlimited plan because they don't offer less, unhappy about it because I don't really need to be paying this much for the very low amount of data I use. On the bright side they can only guarantee that the price remains locked in for 5 years. Optimum for no one... but them.

My internet has been going in and out all morning and the app is absolutely useless. I try to report an outage and it just tells me "no outages have been reported in your area" then on to troubleshooting. I've already gone through the troubleshooting steps 3 times. Finally managed to get ahold of a representative and they are equally useless. No explanation for the outages, basically told me I was out of luck if outages continue to happen. Won't send a technician. Useless company

The app is useless when there's an Internet issue. If you're connected to wi-fi when your gateway is down, the app won't connect at all. If you disconnect from wi-fi, the app runs, and tells you your internet is fine. It is absolute garbage for troubleshooting. Edit 01/09/23 Now it just constantly crashes. They made it even more useless. Edit 03/18/25 Yep, still useless and constantly lies about network quality and speeds.

This app is as trash as the company it's for. 75% of the time that I use it to pay my bill there's a problem. it won't load, gives me errors, freezes. and now it forced me to update but won't open because it still says I need to update it 🥴 its almost like you don't want my money or something. or maybe you just don't care that you're providing a terrible experience for everything you offer.

If you can get a different Internet service provider, do it. Xfinity is predatory and is always trying to get more money, and one way they do that is with their intentionally terrible "app" and website. this is supposed to be a technology website, but the taco bell app is more reliable and easy to use. links time out or come up with errors, buttons move, it's hard to find your plan details or change plans. This is intentional too, as it has been this way for years.

Like an idiot I agreed to let Xfinity "upgrade" my router at no extra charge. I didn't realize you MUST put the Xfinity app on your phone. (If something is free, YOU are the product.) The Xfinity app is trying to activate the new router. It's been trying for about 20 minutes now. The QR code sticker is too small to scan, and when I tried to enter the number manually it allowed me to enter the letter F then it started trying to activate it. And it won't go back to re-enter the correct number lol
